This is the scene every evening outside the pub I go to. The Starlings coming into roost. It is noisy and fascinating to watch.teddybear bouquet

That could be a fun routine, Watching the starlings roost while you go into the pub . Then when you leave you can feed the pink elephants . . . . .laugh laugh laugh

It is a good picture Jim. With restaurants being in that area we get a lot of gulls and starlings with a few sparrows and once I even came across a kestral having it's meal where my restaurant keeps it's bins. The starlings are so tame that when some customers hold out a french fry they'll take it from the customer's hand. I do trash walks regularly and I've also seen gulls fly off with the little sauce pots that come with the meal. Pests the starlings may be but that display at roosting time is fascinating to watch. The only way I can describe it is it's like a dance in the sky. How on earth they don't collide with one another is a mystery to me. Have a good evening everyone.
