Love, Trust - and a $1000
You have met someone on CS - things have gone well for 3-4 month's. Email, chat, skype and a date - then..........He / she says thay need to borrow $1000 !!
What would you do?
My criteria would be -
1) I never borrow money so should I lend
2) Under what circumstances would I lend my son
3) If this is only to pay interest and they would still have debt

Yea, its possible to be so found of someone pr.media u wanna send some monay if asked. Agree on that. And it's only in rare cases it's right to do so.
1) Who is in physical danger?
Otherwise, I'll help a friend out in a pinch but this is a really bad sign for a young relationship ... $1000 isn't lunch money because they didn't have time to get to the ATM.
I would need to know the reason for the need to give an exact response. If I suspect this sort of need might be chronic, that would nix/end long-term relationship prospects in my book.
(also wondering about any unspoken motives here...)

About your topic, me personally would think a lot on this one. 'Though I will have the money but I am not sure if its worth lending it to somebody I don't fully know of yet. And this amount is not just a small one.
You said you have been talking for 3 to 4 months, but are you sure you know her/him well enough? Can't say yes or can't say no.
