I don't know if you saw this or not

Today it was reported that a man in California died at 103.
103 years of age is quite an achievement
But, of course, when it's your final day, it's never too much.
Nonetheless, the more amazing part of the story is,
that this 103 year old man lived the last 95 years
of his life with a bullet in his head.

It turns out that 95 years ago his brother accidently
shot him in the head behind the left ear.
The doctors figured that an operation might kill him.
So, they left the bullet in his head.
He is now listed in the Guinness Book of Records,
as the man who lived the longest with a bullet in his head.

It disfigured his face, made him deaf in that ear
and partially blind on that side of the face.
However, it didn't stop him though.
He went on to play sports, farm and marry too.

Too often on here and elsewhere we see people whining
about what they've lost and/or what they do NOT have.
What a waste of time & energy !
Get on with your life.

Perhaps this guy can be an inspiration to all
to consider what you DO have.
Each day you wake up is another opportunity to live.
We are all VERY lucky to be alive.
Celebrate it and make the most of it.

You never know when an accidental, or stray bullet might change it, or even end it.
None of us get out of life alive anyway.
Eventually, we are worm food, or ashes.
While we are lucky to be here, lets enjoy it
and help others to do the same.
