Meetings....

I have had the pleasure of meeting a few local members from CS, I will not mentioned their names as they are not Bloggers, but in addition to them I have had the pleasure of a visit from our famous/infamous Morg, and Tangerino.

There are a number of other folks I would love to encounter for various reasons.

Some with whom I have inter-acted with on the blogs and others whom I have observed on the blogs. There are some with whom I am in sync and others who would probably rub me up the wrong way. There are a number of bloggers who have "grown onto me", whom I would also love to meet.

I think it would be great to actually meet them all face to face, have a drink, get into some great discussions, and last but not least, have a FANTABALISTIC PARTY...

You know what i'd also love to do? To charter a huge sailboat for a day with captain. Say a 50 footer.. or two if we're many.

Cofy and everybody else , I have been thinking of this for a while . If it sounds like it is feasable then we will go ahead and do it . We have about 6 months to do this thing so I am ready for any and all input . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .PS: Cofy don't be silly, of course you are on the list . Frank, i am dead serious about this as before. U can count me in. It's all about who else can afford it and hold off some week/s in january. I seen folks try orgainse gatherings and usually it starts with entusiasm about an idea but in the end only 1/4th can really come, when it comes down to it. And then usually the rest drop it too.

So i suggest you start checking about who of the regualrs could be interested in this the upcoming january, 4real. I'm in!

Morg, They have several snorkeling boats that operate out of Fahardo on the eastern side ( Cabo Rojo is on the west ). I also think it is somewhere around $60. a head but they serve lunch and rum drinks . It is also an all day afair . Most are 50 or 60 foot cats and everything is taken care of, all you have to do is show up .

Morg, I know what you mean about the trips . I was thinking about several that was proposed but they also fizzeled . I'm also expecting Tery ( Terbear ) this October but he won't know till he gets a clean bill from the doctor . By the way if you are into deep sea fishing this is the place to be now . About 1994 the billfish where getting so depleated that all the charter captains got together and started a volentary tag and release program . Well it paid off and now the billfish tournament ( in the middle of August ) is getting world famous . You can easily hook a 2 or 3 hunred pounder and five and six hundred pound monsters are not that uncommon any more . You could be like Hemmingways " The Old Man and the Sea " for real .

Morg, The 6th of January is Three Kings Day and the week of the 15 is San Sabastion ( largest street festival in San Juan ) so after that air fares go down to regular rates . I'l check with Orbits and Travelosity to see when they go down . If if it possable to get here before the 15'th then we can go to San Sabastion . I also have to know how many are comming ( really coming ) I can only accomidate about 6 to 8 at my place . We all can eat here but staying is a diferent matter . I also can check for the best rates in the less expensive hotels . Depending on how many come we should look into renting a mini van ( or a full one if enough come ). I also need to know how long it will last in order to plan a varied but ineresting schedule .
