Chasing Tail Yesterday

Yesterday was a truly beautiful autumn day.
It was somewhat overcast, but the temperature was nice.
I mailed out 5 ebay sales (books & clothes) and
decided to take a nature walk in Colonial Park.

There are two large ponds there with lots of geese & ducks.
And there are also lots of nature trails.
I walked one of the nature trails that partly runs alongside
of the smaller pond which has an even smaller pond
attached to it in the back.
In this smallest attached pond, there was a great blue heron fishing,
11 mallard ducks, a northern pintail couple and
a male hooded merganser.

I was especially interested in getting shots of
the pintail couple and the merganser.
But, unlike the mallards, they would not let me get
that close to them.
I kept walking around this smallest pond and every time I did,
these ducks would swim to the opposite side of the pond,
before I would even emerge at the previous side.
Perhaps it was my imagination, but I thought I heard one laugh. wow
Regardless, I did get some photos of them. tongue

Finally, I decided to take a walk through the woods and I'm glad I did.
I only went about 20 steps and froze in my tracks as two young females
went running together about 10 yards in front of me.
They were both in very good shape, lovely & slim brunettes,
with long legs and big brown eyes.
The looked to be sisters.
Indeed, although I didn't ask, they might have been twins. cool

I heard talking in the distance and wasn't sure if they were part of a
larger group or just on their own. Either way, I felt the urge to get closer to them.
You'll see, that eventually, we got very close indeed ! wink
They ended up at the top of a small hill in tall grass
with thickets all around them.
I took some photos of them while they ween't looking my way.
I very slowly made my way towards them, but eventually they ran off again.
Again, I followed them, took more pictures and they ran again.
However, each time they didn't run far.
This scenario repeated 3 more times, as I followed them through
thickets & woods and each time they allowed me to get closer & closer.
For some reason I think they began to trust me, because,
although I kept following them, I gave them some personal space,
often sitting down near them.
Perhaps they even somewhat enjoyed the attention. I'm not sure. dunno
You know how some women can say "no" scold and then later change their mind. confused
I think some women really don't mean "no" in the first place. wink

Anyway, I don't usually post pictures of people, other than myself online.
But, for some reason, I don't mind showing you pictures of these two
young females wearing nothing,
but fur coats. wow
