I'm out of here....almost..& Walmart.
Tomorrow I leave for New Jersey.I was going to leave Florida today,
but rain was in the forecast,
so, I'm delaying it by a day.
I'm not in a rush to get to 30 degrees of colder weather.
Yep, when Jim goes north, spring is officially here.
So, it's back to the homeland.
I'm on the road again..
However, I'm not looking forward to that 18 to 22 hour drive.
But, my softball season starts next weekend and its also time to
plant peas (sugar snap & snowpod) and a few other hardy veggies.
Plus, I know where an eagle's nest is back in NJ and there's probably a couple
of eaglets waiting to be photographed. :winking:
I've had a terrific vacation, gaining some of the best osprey photos I've ever gotten,
including; 2 osprey mating
osprey carrying fish to the nest and lots of other perched & flying poses.
I also got great shots of otter, egrets, herons, pelicans, sunsets, alligators, snakes and much more.
A total of over 8,000 photos , that I'm copying
onto 2 external harddrives as I write this blog.
In addition I found terrific deals on lots of items.
I'm currently selling over 300 of them on ebay.
These include Jaws license plate frames, Ralph Lauren clothing,
old large photos of movie stars (Clark Gable, Natalie Wood, Errol Flynn, etc..)
and lots of other goodies.
I'm carting all 300 items back with me in 6 huge plastic containers
ontop of my station wagon.
I'll look like the Beverely Hillbillies when I pull up to my house
That reminds me, earlier today my sister told me,
"I'm going to run the dishwasher."
So, I replied, "you know, I think you can beat it."
Yesterday I went to Walmart, as I needed a few items for my trip back home.
I'm driving to find a parking spot and I see 2 cars parked in rows adjacent to each other and both were backing up at the same time.
They are right behind each other and both drivers (women)
are on their cell phones and NOT paying attention to what's behind them.
They are about 2 feet from crashing into each other and still moving backwards,
so I lean on my horn long & hard.
Thankfully, both women slammed on their brakes and stopped..
I'm very tempted to add a line here about women always slamming on the brakes for something long & hard.
But, I simply have too much class to do such a thing.
After I parked in one of those spots and went inside Walmart
and grabbed the items I wanted,
I saw one more item I wanted.....a lot !
There was a BEAUTIFUL svelte gal (of course on her cell phone)
shopping & pushing her cart.
I was lucky enough to hsppen to walk behind her, when I first spotted her.
My goodness, what a nice tush !
You know, one of those tiny upside down heart shaped ones.
The front end (this is guy talk, ladies) & chassis was breathtaking !
She looked at least half Spanish, muy bonita !
I didn't talk with her though. I mean, I'm only going to be here tonight
and that's it. Plus, I had a LOT of packing to do.
I didn't want to start something, that I wasn't able to continue.
I do hope to see another one like her soon though.
So, then I get into the self-serve checkout line with my items
and a woman gets in line behind me.
One of the items she's buying is a truly lovlely hat.
It was circular broad rimmed with alternating wide bands of black and white.
It was nice and I told her so.
She thanked me....and then I said...,
"lets just hope the seagulls don't misinterpret it as a target."
She laughed.
OK, I've bored you long enough.
If you don't hear from me for several days,
it's because either, I'm not home yet,
or I don't have the internet back on yet,
OR I decided to stay here and hooked up with the Spanish gal from Walmart.
Hey, I can dream, can't I ?

Ebay is not big here in heidiland as yet, they

The ladies on the cell phones reversing its
odd you mention that as at the supermarket in
Germany I saw a similar thing but no phones
involved just 2 men in volvos and hurrray they
did wallop each other nice! Now I did smile at
that one.
The lady with the Hat, I have one similar its a
real beauty bought it with nowhere to go, and hope
for a wedding or such like so far had it now in my
hat box over 5yrs and the seagulls have not seen it
yet!! It might stay in the box another 5yrs.
Back to work now Jim and enjoy!
