Difference between Abu Dhabi and Dubai
I mainly lived in Abu Dhabi, so sometimes I would pay a short visit to Dubai. When I visited old town of Dubai,I always feel that Duabi seems to be not as neat and tidy as Abu Dhabi. And you can see so many Indians and Pakistan people standing along the street,busy crowded, and old buildings in the old part of Dubai.Well, I would say the Dubai mall is at least one of the best shopping mall, which is next to the Burj Khalifa. You can take the tube and get off this dubai mall stop,and then take a long but very well designed passage to the Dubai mall. the whole passage has glass wall on both sides, so you can see the beautiful fountain area in front of the Burj Khalifa, as well as the busy street underneath the passage.
Then after this long journey of the passage, you can see electronics shops on the 2nd floor of Dubai mall. Then you can take lifts, just walk around this big mall. You can see almost all the lux brands in this shop. And enjoy foods from different countries. Steaks from USA, Sushi from Japan, Chinese food, Indian food, Italian food, you name it.I think lebanese food is very nice. of course, KFC and Macdonald will never be absent. You can also find spinneys here.
But this time, I stayed in Dubai. And I have another idea of the old town. yes, old town have old buildings. Once you are inside,you would say, old fashioned decoration, but still fairly clean inside, and the maintainence is very good. But there are some area got indeed very old buildings in bad condition. And even if it is very crowded and busy on the street of the old town, in general,it is very safe. I bought some food one night in the shop, and i had my meal next to the fountain in Deira. Nobody will disturb you, and I indeed like the beautiful white flower beds around the square.
And from the room where I stay, I can see the boats and ships sailing on the sea.
So, I begin to like both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Even there are some unsatisfying things here also, but I do feel the nice part of the cities here.

I can be stubborn,so i stick to my own idea.
In Abu Dhabi, the life is much quieter comparing with Dubai. But after also staying in Dubai, I can feel why people like it.
I always like the big aquarium in the Dubai mall. And watching the shark swimming inside and other sea fish is fun.
People and everything in this world got two sides, contradictions. I can see the two sides of emirates, but I still love this place. I think if a person you love her/him, including both the good and bad parts, that is real.
Outisde Abu Dhabi island, mainly around 10pm, you need be ready, there might not be buses to go back to the Abu Dhabi city.
Abu Dhabi taxi drivers usually will not refuse you
Dubai:Mainly private cars,taxi. Bus system and tube. I think Tube is very good. And last tube will be around 11pm. And at rush hours, taking the tube, watching the jammed cars on the road, you feel you are much faster.
Taxi driver in Dubai can be picky,you might find you can be refused by several taxi drivers. So I will open the door sit inside and tell the driver where to go.
I was in the Philippines a year ago. At a resort there, I met a guy who was a meteorologist from Abu Dahabi. He and I got to be friends. I lost his email address and haven't been able to contact him. His name was Henk and he is originally from the Netherlands! Just thought I would mention it in passing!
I like emirates, even I know there are not good things here. I like the safe surroundings. And in general, i can always feel the kindness for me when I am here.
And I also try to help people when I can here. I have good experiences and bad experiences from different nationalities. I know people are different.
Food: I like the Lebanese food and Indian food, I like Italian and french food here.
Friday Brunch: I like the Dubai westin hotel in JBR the most.
But the brunch in the hotel next to Ferrari world is of very good value, and the view is nice there.
Usually in Abu Dhabi, the brunch is ranging from 200aeds to 350aeds per person.
Dubai: the really good quality one: 375aeds per person
Supermarket:
Salmon is my favorite fish. I would be a whole salmon and cut into steaks and fried it. price 38aeds/kilo to 55aeds/kilo for the whole fish.
I like the belt fish here a lot, big and nice, full of bones, but the meat is very nice.I will fried the pieces first crispy and light brown, then I will use another wok, heat up, pour in food oil, heat up again, garlic and ginger in,then some soy sauce and salt, and some wine,and starnese, some pepper, and then put in the fried belt fish inside, very nice taste!
Dubai will have more choices than Abu Dhabi
More bars,bigger and fancy malls in Dubai also. Abu Dhabi is quieter, more for family life.
