I think some people believe a woman has her place in the house and the man has his. I have heard that some people believe society as a whole will not operate correctly without the traditional family structure as a foundation.
I don't know but curious as to what others will say.
Historically women were deemed inept to vote...then they decided on a strategy to stop women from voting...nice women don't vote was their inspirational slogan!!...see how stupid this is?!!!
... ... ...
It appears passe to burn bras or to have a strike against house work...but they did just that in the sixties...a straightforward solution to those in power...treat us well...no worries then!!
I think history is valuable...it teaches us what not to do in the future!!...some wine for you!!
Here here!...
I meant politically as well...women and children are more likely to be impoverished...government still creates inequity by ignoring the statistics...greed may be the root of this...
How do you feel about this topic...what are your views?...
I just heard that GM, in 2008ish, once paid their entry level workers $30 an hour. Now, they only pay them $18 an hour for the same jobs.
Also, in the hospital system, the older employees with many years under their belts with the hospital are indirectly getting pushed out. Thus, they are higher younger and new employees for about 1/2 the wages the veteran workers were making.
It comes down to supply and demand. Now with many more employees in the market, wages go down.
In Michigan, it is said that half of the families are struggling to pay their bills and put food on the table.
I agree, it sounds like greed to me. The economy is weak and the stock market is it record high levels. Hmmm....something does not add up right to me. I suspect that many companies are now paying less for employees, therefore, making higher profits. That may account for some of it.
Whatever is going on, it seems as if we are not living in the same world of about 10 or so years ago.
I think if everyone would just remember they all have mothers, grandmothers and some have daughters and nieces.. and how important their happiness is to them, they would think twice before belittling or holding women back from their freedoms, rights and happiness.
Good blog. Thanks for posting it.
Accepting difference is key...many are not in the same areas of expertise due to the physicality of the job but why are women being subjected to such a low title when it comes to nurturing?.many women throughout history have been denied schooling because of money...rather send the males to school to provide but sciences and other areas such as doctors, surgical or other wise have been dominated by males...almost a boy's club...but in today's reality, women need to work!!...better money means a better life...insecurity seems to be an underlying factor?...
In reality our growth in this area is far from antiquity. I am product and result of mutual acceptance on our site of even play. Yes, I will never be a man, but even that is fast changing.
We've gone a long way and there's no regression, that's for sure.
Thanks for your post!...we do need to look at treating people with the respect that they deserve...family...it is important!!
Living in that area you must come across some inequities...I am not saying everyone but it is hard for me to believe in some of the news reports based on their own political viewpoints...
I think you are correct...now if corporations can view women as candidates for more prestigious jobs...we will finally be accepted...unfortunately, women give birth...that may prevent some from thinking women can become leaders?...
You are spitting your venom at the wrong person...why not express your anger at your girlfriend or maybe you don't have one?...angry?...try counselling...have a nice day!!
so you women..sit outside the saudi embassy in your country and protest.....
do you have a better picture of what its like here now ?...these poor women are away from their kids..trying to support kids back home..fillipinas especially...
Thanks Captain Obvious!!!
maybe bcos Indonesian are wearing cadar.. they cover their face... and only silly eyes they show...
This is just a play on words...he said she said BS...that is all...no profoundness here... My main goal was to highlight the injustice of women and to hear others stories...not to be derailed by other's rather superficial smugness...
I am asking you not to comment anymore...my blog was not designed for your banter...you are rather disrespectful...keep it to the forums...thanks...
Unlike the forums...I can delete you...get it?...or I can disable this blog...choice is yours?...
