So someone (I won't say who) emails me
the all important question."Did your repair of the lawnmower's pull cord pass a field test?"
LoL, yes, that is important to know. What good is a repair that doesn't work?
So, in the interest of settling any doubts, after returning the assembly to the source mower, I made this short video.
This mower had sat outside for a long time after the cord broke before I brought it inside. I believe moisture got into the fuel line either during the winter months or the spring rains. In any case you will note the initial hesitation and white smoke. Not to worry. It soon burned off the moisture and the hesitations stopped. All is good. I used this mower today with no problems.

I don't know anything about mowers but I do have problem with my vacuum cleaner from time to time...the hose keeps falling off
I thought you do home service? I expect you to come here, let me know when so I can prepare and get busy in the kitchen...what's your favorite food?
No you have to bring it here. You can cook while I work and I will eat when one of us is done.
For the size of your lawn I would have expected one of those jobs that you sit on and drive around like a four wheeler.
Have fixed a few pull starts myself over the years on mowers, stihlsaws, grinders etc.
A tedious task but satisfying when one hears the motor running again.
Nice one..
Please have a break...let's have lunch:
well done, good job done!
CH that looks lovely. What will you be eating?
YOU were saying that the videos take a long time to upload to youtube ..I did encounter this problem to start with.. BUT I had to find a simple converter even a trial one, and it is better to choose a recent movie maker (even a trial one) meaning free for 30 days and upload to you tube from the movie maker Makes a lot of difference.. IT does upload within seconds instead of hours..GOOD CONTINUATION..
It looks like the show was cut off by force.
Is it true folks with horses and cows never have to mow?
