HAIR
Is the length of your hair a sign of your age, or your social standing?More and more I see the younger generation of men with shaved heads while the older men seem to prefer a fuller head of hair, some of whom have ponytails even though they are bald on top.
Women by contrast, the older they get the shorter they seem to cut their hair (the usual excuse is... It’s more manageable! )

It took years of maintenance, the right shampoos and conditioners and therefore my hair is in good condition it is quite thick.
So I am not likely to cut it now just to make it more manageable!
As it happens, men seem to prefer women with long hair anyway as they can run their fingers through it.
I also like men with a pony tail. A bit "hippie" like.
I have to say I have no hair , having had issues with in the family years ago I had less so none worth having so whats left is shaved off our middle son at 38 is going the same way,
our older son has a mop of hair and is like my fathers Father he had so much
My Mom started to loose hers and was very thin not because of age was an other reason .
Okay. as a woman it would be lovely to have long hair though over the last 15 years and more so 8 years im so used to not having any I don't worry about it and all my friends know and nothing is said and we joke about it in ...well I don't have to wash it or comb it and no bad hair days , ( wind ),
So I wear turban type scarves hats or other,
...noeleena...
At the youth I had long and curly hair, but all changing in life and some things we can't prejudice.
As for me long hair is beautiful if they are healthy and have well care. Long, thin hair is not so beautiful, but each wear such hair cut style as he/she wants. I don't bother me with it, because my preferences are only mine and I choose what fits for me.
The day it starts thinning, it will be given the chop.
I don't think it has anything to do with social status. It's just a personal preference.
I like my long hair and I like men with clean shaved heads....
for some of us women its about wanting to age gracefully more so than disgracefully.
to wear it longer but does not fit in with job related duties.
When I was a kid, most older Women would have shorter hair
done up and shellacked. Probably why I like long hair
on a Woman, and because of Rita Hayworth also.
Their hair fallen back on a Pillow, that messy unkempt look
the morning after good physical endeavor, the long silky look
on an Evening out, and yes even running fingers through it.

I like my hair shoulder-length, long enough to fan out over a pillow, not so long it takes hours to dry. I've had it waist-length but I had more patience in those days. At this length I can put it up out of the way when I need to look grown-up, too.
The current wannabe Mr Biff has hair slightly longer, slightly thicker, and definitely wavier than mine. He thinks he looks like a Botticelli angel. Whatever!
I see my hair as short compared to how long i used to wear it, i do miss the length yet i don't regret chopping it up.
How do pedal, given both women are the same age, i think their a good example when it comes to comparing hair lengths...
Helen turned 70 this july and Goldie will be 70 in November.
