yet I have this crazy dream...Im planing to sell my Mercedes and buy a bike (cruiser/chopper type)...but I do have a problem, I never had a bike, never drove one and don`t really know how to operate with one .So as a absolute beginner I would have to pass driving test, get a license and then choose a bike...what kind of a bike would you recommend ...tricycle,do they make Harley's with training wheels...uh oh

Just kidding, mate.... laugh

.... grin cheers
-I took the license back in -89, and trough the driving-classes we got to try different bikes. We even had a whole day at a real racing-track, just so everyone could test different bikes in high(or low) speed... as far as we dared....uh oh
I would just look for a good driving-school, and leave the choise of bike for later.thumbs up cheers
Hi Ded,
Something with at least 3 wheels.scold
laugh cheers wave
Web Search -

YouTube Harley Davidson Trike

There ya go Ded! Several of 'em...some for sale! head banger

The trike's not a bad idea. I know a guy...the 'Ride to live - Live to ride' type.
He wrecked is bike, and at the same time tore his leg off. shock

He was a bit of an older guy...
He now gets around quite well on a peg leg. And a Harley Trike. sigh
If he'd gotten the trike sooner, he'd be getting around on a Harley Trike. And two legs. grin
JUST SAYIN'!!

Based on my personal experience in Emergency Medical Service, that guy was actually one of the luckier ones.

Given your age and experience, I would very strongly(!) recommend something with more than two wheels.
There are quite a few options besides Harleys, if they don't suit your fancy.

Best of luck to you!! cheers

-sounds good,...
unfortunately ,here its kind of a formality , I mean you get to have some 20 hours of practice ,20 hours of theoretical part of the exam ...the real learning starts after you get your license and start driving...
Catfoot

I will lend you my transport dedo giggle for a fee of coursepeace
Having lost several good friends to motorbike accidents, and was talking yesterday to another permanently disabled by one, I think you should go for one with safety features, such as more metalwork to protect your legs, maybe more than two wheels, one not so powerful you can't open the throttle, possible some weather proofing for winter, maybe even heated, I reckon this one fits the bill professor

Yes yes, heard it all before, but what about the fun of the trip to hospital in an ambulance dunno or all those months to chat up nurses whilst your legs are in traction dunno if you want a bit of excitement you could always take up something less dangerous, like Russian Roulette doh rolling on the floor laughing

Your comment (hospital bit) is what I thought of when I was tempted to buy a motorcycle at my age! Instead, I started bicycling! I love it, get plenty of exercise and low cost! thumbs up
