The Biggest Full Moon (Party) Of Our Lives!
Tonight's full moon will be the largest (14% Larger!) brightest (30% Brighter!) since January, '48.
There's a Super Moon Party planned for Peace Park Sheboygan, Wisconsin starting at 4:30 p.m.
(Search - Peace Park Sheboygan...It overlooks Lake Michigan with a clear view to the Eastern horizon. Excellent for observing moonrise at 5:00 )
If any of y'all are in the neighborhood, stop by!
Hope to see ya there!
Thanks to Mimi, whose blog inspired me to plug the party.

The professors have said it is a fallacy that people change with a full moon, who do you believe?
If you want the straight story on "lunacy" and the full moon, talk to nurses who work in psych wards or ERs, cops and bartenders.
We humans consist of approx 55-60% water
It stands to reason that the moon would then affect us.
I went out under the moon last night...it was glorious
We're watery awright.
And that may contribute to full moon lunacy.
Also, our ancestors have been living with the moon for a long(!) time.
Prior to electric lights, it was much easier to do things at night when the moon was full.
We may well be genetically inclined to be more active during a full moon because we'd be more efficient...hunting, fishing, harvesting crops, etc.
'Couse, it would also facilitate activities such as theft, burglary, staying later at the bar (pub, if you prefer ) and various other forms of mayhem.
Really not all that mysterious or surprising, when you think about it.
Living with electric lights, we don't appreciate how much light the moon provides. Try this...
Take a walk in an unlight area under a full moon. (The next couple nights will probably be moonlit enough for this experiment.)
Go back in two weeks, and try(!) taking that same walk under a new moon.
Is there something more subtle than gravity at work?
