jarred1, unfortunately
Was taught about Christianity by someone who completely misunderstood it, if he thinks it's "terrorism".Discuss.

Whether atheist, agnostic, or following (to any degree) a religion, anyone who can believe that only they know the truth, and at least 5 billion people holding various differing beliefs are all wrong, is at the very least mind-bogglingly arrogant.
No-one alive knows what happens when we die. The last great adventure, or a dwindling fizzle? Are the few inexplicable but documented ghost cases, in a sea of fakery, too low a percentage to matter? The people who have near-death experiences and suddenly fluently speak a language they've never been exposed to in their lives before? That's proved inexplicable even after government-funded testing - in some cases. There are, of course, fakes as well.
Life itself remains a scientific mystery. Anyone who has looked into in vitro fertilization knows there are always multiple embryos implanted - identical, viable, ready to spark to life. And yet - sometimes 2 or 3 spark. Sometimes 1. Sometimes none. Start again.
But no, the arrogant know there are no mysteries, no questions, all that is needed is for them to say 'because I say so' before their minds clang shut like steel doors. Weirdest of all - they are proud of their certainty. Whether they are for religion, or against it, they don't need to know any more than their own conviction.
Wow.
Sorry, that was a bit off-topic but I really wanted to say it
And that really was pointing no fingers at anyone, although it might have picked up a touch of backspin when Jim laid down the law
How's the new place in Spain going?
Well, you know me. I hate anyone laying down the law
Why is it very important for others to pass judgment to some people and have the audacity to make it a special topic open for anyone to share their mind about it?
Isn't a part of the rule to not talk about a particular member especially if it invites a very controversial if not degrading opinion that slights the said member?
Texas girl, I don't feel comfortable of your attitude and seemingly arrogant if not outride rude for you to create such a demeaning blog like this.
Kudos to Biff for what said and how she said it, I'm totally on that same page
and agree with equseme too, funny and well written.
Jarred's name doesn't need to be used in your argument.
"Christianity: is it about terrorism?" That would have been the title, imo.
Any descent person, would know it isn't.
Now if Jarred thinks it so and the OP, states it as it is, while it is arguably wrong for him to think it is, labeling it as unfortunate is judging in itself.
Nevertheless, its against the rule to be discussing about a member here that promotes alienation.
keep my ex husband out of this
