True that Daphne. However I think Trump has reached a desperate state of affairs and is possibly dependent on her for the female votes .

As for her son ,guess there would be a hell of a tug of war and who knows just what has been said behind the scenes.dunno

RE: Melania...

I am not sure if people care about divorce per say but if Melania walks out...it kinda tells us she had enough of the his behaviour...she is only human...
I can see her leaving in the future but I think she is probably thinking about her kid right now...

James Buchanan was the only single President and Reagan was the only one to get divorced but long before he became President.

Trump has 2 divorces behind him.

Melania...

She actually has a form of separation and only comes out if/when needed.

Possibly women voters would take heed (there is trouble) if she announced a divorce.
Kiss of death to an election?
He's got worse problems than a marriage right now.
I would have to research if any American presidents took office without a spouse.

RE: UK SMOKING BAN

Thanks guys for your kind remarks.applause

With regards to smoking I've lost 3 pals in the past couple of years to lung cancer one of whom was a smoker.I also have a friend dealing with lung cancer who never smoked.

My own Father died of this disease after giving up smoking about 20 years prior.I was a smoker until 2000 when I gave it up and with no regrets.I can't stand the smell of cigarettes now and hate vapes as well.

It is a habit difficult to control and as stated extremely expensive so anything that can be done to deter people is always welcome though half of Parliament has voted against the bill.

C.O.P.D's is another issue probably due to smoking.sigh

Trump may think Melania is essential to win...essential as in get elected to get out of his current problems (not all) meaning to pardon himself...
I doubt Melania's past is problematic for most but Trump should stop blabbing... laugh
Lots of stories unconfirmed but I have to say he did it to himself with his verbosity...
People are more inclined to dig/seek out information on his personal/business affairs...imo...

Many people vape in the UK. The cost of cigarettes is really high, through increased tax. I smoked as a teenager, but not heavy smoking and then went over to a more healthy lifestyle. TV adds continuously promoted cigs then, and socially many young people indulged especially at football matches, when you were obliged to offer and receive a cig. But, I don't regret the experience and it was all part of growing up and having fun.

The legislation does not ban smoking outright, as anyone who can legally buy tobacco now will still be able to do so if the bill becomes law. It will make it illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone born after 1 January 2009. The plan was first reported by the Guardian, and announced by the prime minister in his speech to the Conservative party conference last year.

And hath made of one blood all nations of men (Acts 17:26).
Tensions were high one Saturday in April 2021 when Democrat representative Maxine Waters spoke in Brooklyn Center, the Minneapolis suburb where Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old black man, was shot and killed by police. Waters said, “We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.”

Waters, a highly confrontational figure, sometimes known as “Kerosene Maxine,” was notorious for telling her constituents to follow and hound Trump supporters and make life miserable for them: “Wherever you find them, at the gas station, in restaurants, go right on and harass them.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a different approach for the civil rights movement. Bishop Jim Lowe, senior pastor of the Guiding Light Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and distinguished fellow at the Alabama Policy Institute—where the emphasis is on free markets, limited government, and strong families—believes that the current-day civil rights movement, marked by violent protests, is very different from the civil rights movement of the 1960s under Dr. King’s leadership. Lowe pointed out that King, in his “Letter From Birmingham Jail,” believed that in any non-violent campaign there are four basic steps to be followed: collection of the facts to determine whether injustices exist, (2) negotiation, self-purification, and (4) direct action (Lowe’s comments can be found at southeastsun.com).

Unfortunately, says Lowe, these steps are lacking in many of today’s protests, many of which turn violent and lead to the destruction of property and businesses in the black community. “In some cases,” says Lowe, “injustice may seem apparent but in reality, it is non-existent. Thus, righteousness is not on the side of the protester.”

The second step that Dr. King followed was negotiation. King felt that was extremely important. Lowe points out, however, that today, negotiation does not get very far. Try to negotiate and you are shouted down. Reasonable and helpful discourse is impossible. “Disrespect,” says Lowe “is shown to those who are made in the image of God.”

The third step followed by Dr. King that is completely bypassed today is self-purification. This was a time of personal and intensive self-examination for the leader of the protest. The person needs to be honest with himself and check his motives, his manners, and see if confession to God needs to be made. Does this sound like something the BLM people would do today?

The fourth step recommended by Dr. King is direct action. If the previous three steps have been followed and there is no progress, a peaceful protest is necessary. Dr. King believed in justice and he did not believe in capitulation. He took direct action that was non-violent. Lowe believes that protests should hold a special place for Americans who realize that we have a Bill of Rights to protect the people from the government. Protests have been catalysts for progress for centuries and are essential to the American experiment.
Lowe believes that when legislation “with the potential to affect protesting comes up for debate …our representatives should be extremely careful. Any effort, even good intentions to prevent violence, that limits the right to protest or gives law enforcement undue power to restrain or jail citizens exercising their first amendment rights, should be carefully examined.” However, non-violent protests are unacceptable today in the modern civil rights movement. Why is that? Because the issue is never the issue. The revolution is.

RELIGIOUS HAIR COVERING

Yes, but women encourage men by swinging their hair as they walk and wearing clothes that are revealing, and making their eyes look bigger with huge eyelashes. Also it is quite common to see young ladies with skin coloured spray on tights walking round town. It's tough for men to be faced with this type of fashion.

RE: RELIGIOUS HAIR COVERING

It is not just the Muslim faith (fundamentalism) that requires women to be modest in appearance...so lets get that out in the open...
Yes, why not let the women decide what they want to do...
If this practice has been going on for ages...far be it to me to tell them how to dress...it is what they are comfortable with...
When women can be free of this burden of being responsible for their appearance concerning men's conduct...then maybe women will not be concerned for their safety...but so far history suggests that many women have been blamed/shamed for the bad behaviour of men...

RELIGIOUS HAIR COVERING

Is it the case that religious middle Eastern men are not capable of looking at a woman's hair without swooning or being overcome with desire. If they can't resist the sight, then they are not practising their faith correctly, and should be punished themselves.
Women should have their right to go to a salon and appear with a fashionable hair style, even to walk round in curlers if they wish.

RE: A divorced women deserves a good man?

Hi there! It's definitely possible to find a great guy online, but it can be a bit tough. The main issues you might run into are distance and difficulty communicating without video chat. It can be challenging to build a relationship with someone from another country, but if you find someone in your own country, it's easier to plan a date and get to know each other that way. However, it can be more difficult to trust someone from another country and arrange a meeting. That's why I recommend starting with a video chat. If you're in Europe, it's a bit easier to meet someone as the distance is shorter and the expenses are lower, but it's still important to build trust first through video chat. I know it might be harder for you given your distance from Europe or the US, but it's still possible to arrange a meeting if you both put in the effort to build trust and you have not problem with the expenses of the travel.

Where did you get 90% from...confused
Is it from the men club president?...laugh trying to increase membership...conversing
Attitude is everything...and like attracts like...
If you believe women are your enemy...you will never get it right...
Be selective...
Grifters smell insecurity and weakness... moping
The best defense is to be positive...a person who values women do not flash money or expensive babbles at them...it tells a lot about the man including their perception about women...(shallow people)
OJ is a good example of someone who married in a short period of time (did not get to know her well)...love bombed her with gifts (shallow)...but in the end...did not respect her (or her boundaries)...in his mind he owned her...and it ended badly...wow
This of course is an extreme example but getting to know someone for a longer period of time and no gifts (flowers okay)...might help...respect yourself and others as a rule...
On a side note...having a few drinks with the person after a few dates is good...sometimes it reveals their true self...(relaxed and talkative mood)
This happened on a date I was on...I was able to see that person for who they were and declined another invitation out with him... hmmm
Public place mind you and a cab ride home alone...grin
Forget the BS of groups...or books they write...common sense goes a long way...wine

Men start their own movement...

Hello Mar,

It is too bad we have moved away from those days.

If you ever get bored one of these days....check out women's dating profiles. I must admit, I have not looked at them lately. But back in the day when I was looking online for a lady...nearly every lady had a list of demands they wanted in a man. There was no sense of appreciation for these characteristics....they were posting them in a way that they were entitled to those qualities. Evidently, these demands have gotten worse. The proof is in the actual data from dating sites...showing that women only go after the top 5 to 10% of men....actually closer to the 5% side. Women want the best of the best.

Why is that?

Is it because they are selfish? Is it because they feel entitled? Is this a woman who can reciprocate love to the lower 50% of guys...or even the lower 70% of guys?

Again, men are just reacting now days to what women have given them.

Believe me, in the end it becomes beautiful for both men and women.

Let me tell you why...(speaking in general here)

Women are publicly exposing what they want in a man and what makes them happy.
Men now know what makes a woman happy.
Men know they cannot make a woman happy.
Through time, women are now discovering what they want in their younger years don't make them happy when older.
Men are now adopting new standards (as mentioned here in this blog).
Women will eventually genuinely learn the woes to their ways.
Women will soften up.
Men will soften up because they react to what women give them.
Happy family life...happier than ever...returns.

Men start their own movement...

Daph,

In regards to your last paragraph....I think women have over looked men's shortcomings with personality and world outlook if the physical aspects of a man are there and his wallet is deep enough. With this new movement, I believe men can do the same thing.

Daph, don't some ladies look elsewhere in areas that men have shortcomings in when their man is at work? Why cannot men do that too? The woman is now at work and he will be home with plenty of access to whomever. ....just like some ladies.

Daph, do you not remember...a lot of women do not have respect for men now days?

Daph, do you not remember....80% of women initiated divorced?

Daph, do you not remember....most women back in the day were not happy in their marriages?

Why cannot men take over that position?

Why cannot men get divorced and take the woman for half of her money?

You need to remember, men are just reacting to what has been given to them by women.

Great advice Daph. Men should be seeking these wealthy women in the appropriate places. The other women out there that are not wealthy, according to this new movement, might want to consider stepping up to the plate and making more money...maybe they should get a better education or another job.

Men will need to learn some tips from women on how to vet them.

Men start their own movement...

Daph....

I think men want educated and working women in their lives. With this new movement, men want to be pampered by their woman. That requires money. The woman needs to make money now to accommodate this new movement. Depending on the man and his standards, a highly educated woman and her high income might actually be needed now. I suspect these new standards in men are going to require them to be driving nice cars and living in the best neighborhoods in a big house.

The money needs to come from somewhere.

Men start their own movement...

Hello Daph,

I am going to respond to in many different posts....just to accurately address each one of your points.

I really do not think men are trying to scam women for anything.

This movement is about men setting standards.
It is also said, that this movement is just a joke if somebody confronts one about it.
It is also said, no woman can complain about these standards because they are the exact standards that women are demanding of men.

So, I don't think it is really anything to do with scamming. I just think men are just tired of being disrespected because of the outlandish number of standards women have toward them...rendering 90% of all men undesirable to women.

Daph, do you think that is okay that 90% of men are not desirable by women?
