Not 'FOR' or 'AGAINST'

I can just see whats happening in this world without been led by the nose like a sheep to the slaughter.

I need no endorsement of whats right or wrong. At my age I should instinctively know whats right or wrong.

This I deem wrong. These people have no idea of the evil that was propagated by Hitlers Nazis.

Groups of “Nazis” who call themselves the “Blood Tribe” and “Goyim Defense League” exposed themselves as Biden supporters and Azov Battalion members while marching in a rally in Orlando, Florida.

Blood Tribe leader Christopher Pohlhaus, a former Marine who also goes by “Hammer”, accidentally let slip to reporters that he’s a Biden supporter while railing against “white subjugators.”

“I think Biden is better than Trump because he sends rockets to Ukraine!” Pohlhaus declared as a tattoo-faced member behind him yelled, “Slava Ukraini!”

Enrique Tarrio gets 22 years...

News just in that Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was sentenced today, Tuesday September 5th to 22 years in prison for orchestrating his far-right extremist group’s attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Of more than 1,100 Capitol riot cases, Tarrio has received the longest sentence so far.

"Tarrio pleaded for leniency, describing Jan. 6 as a “national embarrassment,” and apologizing to the police officers who defended the Capitol and the lawmakers who fled in fear. His voice cracked as he expressed remorse for letting down his family and vowed that he is done with politics."

Actually, he's not done with politics. Prison has their own form of pecking order.

3's...

I've often heard famous people (musicians especially) die in groups of 3. This month it's Jimmy Buffet, Steve Harwell and now Gary Wright. Pretty sad as they all died from extreme health related issues....

The media often fails to mention Donald Trump's time as a sheriff in the Wild West (1789-1817). Historians note that Sheriff Trump arrested thousands of outlaws and criminals. He was known for pulling no punches when it came to law and order.

Trump Mug Shot

Well here it is. A moment in history. How will all this turn out? Very badly for the Democrats in my opinion. But we shall see. Be careful what you wish for. Be careful for the precedents you set. For be careful they may come back to hit you in the áss.

When trust is lost...and the illness associated with it

To lose one's trust is pretty tough ..in my opinion.

What I mean by that is....I don't trust somebody unless they give me a reason not to trust them.

So, my default mindset toward trust with most people is usually of neutral natural. I don't completely trust them, but I don't completely distrust them.

Normal life interactions usually are construed under these circumstances...meaning, we live day to day life and function quite well with this neutral level of trust. We don't need to assess somebody on a deep level to determine their trustworthiness in order to interact with them on a casual level.

Of course, if somebody sticks a gun in your face and robs you, yes...you should not trust them....and of course, you want to avoid them. Thankfully, I have never had this happen to me ever...and thankfully this does not happen very often.

And of course, before you invite somebody into your house, you should have done a little deeper level assessment of how trustworthy they are. Naturally, if this person is going to be living in your household for even a longer time, you should even be that much more certain of their credibility/trustworthiness.

So, we are starting to explore the nature of trust here.

Now, I was in a relationship where she lost my trust. This loss of trust is the sole reason why I called off our 13 year relationship. 13 years is a long time and a lot of people were effected...not only us as individuals...but her family, my family...and our friends...and many others....because of a loss of trust.

But the day I called off our relationship...I told her "I no longer trust you, and that is not fair for you or fair for me."

What did I mean by that? What I meant by that is that she could have taken 2 minutes longer to go get the mail and suspicion could have arose. Of course this is an extreme example, but none the less, a legitimate example.

This blog has nothing to do about me and my past relationship. That was just an example. This is about trust, the loss of it, and the illness associated with it.

Loss of trust = the illness of suspicion.

What about when a population loses trust in its Gov?

Nietzsche says, when a country loses the trust of its people, that country no longer exist.

The illness of suspicion will breed conspiracy...then maybe wrongful beliefs...then...how ill can things get..

In other words, is there anything a country can do to reclaim trust...or anything anyone can do to reclaim it?

We're putting the band back together...

Whenever I speak to a former band mate, my opening line is from the move The Blues Brothers as we are always joking about about putting the band back together.
It's getting harder to make that statement when so many of my musician friends are gone.

Phil... disappeared.
Chuck... hasn't been seen in years.
Harold... murdered.
Bill... died of a heart attack.
Larry... died of lung cancer.
Frank... died of pancreatic cancer.
Bob... died in his sleep.
Billy... drug overdose.
Danny... heart attack.
Paul... retired, not interested.
Jay... undergoing cancer treatments, would attend a jam if possible.
Carlos... full-time job, does studio work and weekend gigs.

Interestingly, I called a cousin who recently moved to South Florida to update him on my brothers kidney transplant and we got to talking about his retirement and that he and his younger brother still play music. I got the invite as they need a bass player because they are getting a band together!

Occasional parties and social events. They don't play Rock & Roll and chances are, I'll need to buy a tuxedo!

Hurricane IDALIA...

We don't get many hurricanes on the West coast of Florida. Nearly a year ago, Ian cut North of the Fort Myers area with extreme flooding and loss of life. The outer bands of winds were so extreme it spawned tornadoes on the East coast 200 miles away that took the roofs off several of the houses and condos around me.

11 months later, waiting for reconstruction, I see they put new trusses on some of the 2nd story condos that were covered with tarps all this time. Those units were severely damaged and unoccupied all this time.
To those who haven't experienced the force of a hurricane and seen the devastation, words and photos cannot fully describe.

Sunday morning, I met with friends and one mentioned a tropical storm in the Yucatan peninsula with a forecast to become a powerful hurricane headed for the West coast of Florida.

Idalia is born...

Late Sunday night, Idalia was a Tropical storm and will strengthen Monday morning while crossing the Western top of Cuba, expected to be a hurricane mid-Monday making a slight curve to the East and hit Florida about 100 miles North of Tampa.
