Volcanoes

In studying a book on volcanoes in a university library, I found the book also contained information on what caused the ice age. A team of scientists around the world studied deep core samples taken from the earth, tree ring studies around the world, ocean current studies, and input from volcano experts and agreed on the sequence of events that caused the ice age.

Each volcano emits a unique chemical composition in its lava, and one volcano expert couldn’t understand why he had collected identical lava samples from a wide ranging area where no volcano peak or caldera was apparent. After viewing satellite photos of the area he realized the samples were from such a huge caldera that was so wide and the slope so gradual it wasn’t discernable from the ground. Other data they studied included some ancient writings that said the earth had been 30 days in cold darkness without sunlight and people were starving to death.

The scientists concluded the sequence of events causing the ice age were:
There was a period of global warming.
The ice caps melted.
Chunks of ice floated into the warm gulf stream currents.
This messed up the well balanced current flow in all the worlds oceans.
This caused the tectonic plates to shift slightly.
This resulted in increased earthquakes and volcanoes.
A large enough volcano erupted that its ash blocked the sun and cooled the earth and caused the ice age.

Does this sequence of events sound familiar??? Could Yellowstone erupt and cause the next ice age???

For the first time in history....

Scientific American has endorsed a presidential candidate.
That shows how important this election is.

Well, we KNOW it couldn't be a person, who not only doesn't have a clue about science, nor even math. They are far too smart for that.

But, who would Scientific American endorse as it's first candidate ever ?

Yep, Joe Biden. head banger

The definition of nothing

According to perceived wisdom the entire universe came about when an object the size of a tennis ball of unimaginable intensity exploded.

Putting aside how the tennis ball object got there in the first place, I am wondering what is the difference between 'nothing' and what we currently call 'space' ?

Getting mooned in the middle of the night...

Set your clocks if you want to catch the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years.
Called a Frost Moon, NASA states this eclipse will last 3 hours and 28 minutes, they also state the East coast USA it's expected to be visible this Friday, after 2am to 4am and 11pm to 1am on the West coast.
(So... what happened to the 3 hours?)

CERN...and the splitting of reality.

I am now just in the beginning stages of learning about CERN. I have knew about CERN for years now and its large collider. However, that is about the extent of what I knew about it. However today, I have been seeing more and more mention of CERN. Some say that what they are doing there with anti-matter could have effects that even the most intelligent scientists have no understanding of. Stephen Hawking had warned the world about the dangers of what CERN was/could do.

It is said that there are 10+ dimensions that we live in and we only can experience 4 of them. The other 6 that exist, we cannot experience them...in those other 6, the paranormal world resides...it is said. The work that CERN is doing, so it is said, might be triggering something in those other dimensions...to the point that it is effecting humans and their minds....one has come out and speculated that it might even be splitting our reality.

Is there a connection between the colliding of particles and UFOs...or even demons??

Did CERN awake something?

dunno
