Oh Venus !
Named after a goddess of beauty, Venus is our closest neighbor in the solar system and thanks to reflected sunlight, one of the brightest points of light in the night sky.
Because the surface of that planet is very hot and considered inhospitable to life, it has not been the focus of our unending search for other life in the universe. Indeed, attempts to explore the planet have not been very fruitful, as even metals melt upon arrival.
However, at one ancient time, Venus may have been more teeming with life than Earth was at that time. Hundreds of millions of years ago, Venus had oceans. Perhaps it may even today have some life remaining. Astronomers recently found a lot of phosphine within the clouds around Venus. Some rule out other sources of the biomolecule and conclude, that it must be actively produced by microorganism(s) within the clouds. Indeed, since sunlight breaks down phosphine, there must be some current active source. Of course, some others believe otherwise. Nonetheless, life may be much closer, than most predicted. Venus may once again become an area of interest.

The astronomers, who reported the finding on Monday in a pair of papers, have not collected specimens of Venusian microbes, nor have they snapped any pictures of them. But with powerful telescopes, they have detected a chemical — phosphine — in the thick Venus atmosphere. After much analysis, the scientists assert that something now alive is the only explanation for the chemical’s source.
Some researchers question this hypothesis, and they suggest instead that the gas could result from unexplained atmospheric or geologic processes on a planet that remains mysterious. But the finding will also encourage some planetary scientists to ask whether humanity has overlooked a planet that may have once been more Earthlike than any other world in our solar system.
“This is an astonishing and ‘out of the blue’ finding,” said Sara Seager, a planetary scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an author of the papers (one published in Nature Astronomy and another submitted to the journal Astrobiology). “It will definitely fuel more research into the possibilities for life in Venus’s atmosphere.”
“We know that it is an extraordinary discovery,” said Clara Sousa-Silva, a molecular astrophysicist at Harvard University whose research has focused on phosphine, and another of the authors. “We may not know just how extraordinary without going back to Venus.”.....

Yellow Alert! A signal has been Detected
Project SETI, after 60 years of listening, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) organization acknowledged that in April and May 2019 radio signals were received by the Parkes Observatory radio telescope run by CSIRO in South Wales, Australia. As usual when listening on many frequencies a vast variety of radio signals are received during any observational period. Normally several months of work are required to isolate and analyze each separate signal to determine it's origin. The current endeavor is called Project Breakthrough Listen which collects and analyses signals from many participating radio observatories around the planet. In the case of this particular signal (known as BLC-1) the analysis of the signal did not occur until October 2019.
The radio signal is a not modulated (non-informational) tone that was broadcast on a frequency of 982 Megahertz. The tone was broadcast for about a half hour. Data from other radio observatories and listening stations was then collected and the presence of the signal in their recordings also was confirmed.
Triangulation reveals the point of origin appears to be in the direction of Proximi Centauri, a nearby star 4.3 light years away Doppler radio analysis indicates the signal was blue shifting (i.e., moving). No known natural process can produce a unwavering radio signal of the nature received. .Because the same data was found on multiple radio listening points, some thousands of miles apart a local man made source near the Parkes Observatory was soon ruled out. Subsequent investigation has determined no satellite launched by Earth has ever been set up to transmit on a frequency of 892MhZ. Further, no known satellites launched from Earth are known to be in the position of the sky the signal was determined to be originating from.
Continued monitoring of the frequency has not resulted in any further signal being received.
Scientists are continuing to monitor that area of the sky and are also preparing papers speculating about what may have caused the signal and what it may mean.

I say car horn because that is fairly similar to what was done. When a human leans on a car horn for awhile, we are usually doing so in an attempt to signal something to someone. Three questions fill my mind. Was the signal meant for us? If not, then what did the signal signify and to who (or what)? What kind of response to the signal is to be anticipated?

Utah Monolith...
The Utah Department of Public Safety department helicopter was helping Utah Division of Wildlife Resource and spotted a tall metallic monolith in a remote area of the Utah desert.
Photos and videos of the object went viral and it was described to be something like the monolith from the science fiction movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, less the monkeys.
It's not known how it got there, who did it, how deep in the earth it's erected. It appears to have been man-made from stainless steel sheets that were riveted in the corners.
Today, in the news, it's reported the monolith is gone and only a flat plate that marked the location remains.

You know the theory, how the reason everything inn the Universe flickers and creates wave function instability and electronic noise is because nothing is real anyway, so the illusion of reality is held together mostly by inertia. Well I wrote a math equation which seems to show that (yes, I may submit it for a peer review) and was gonna talk about it here too, but then I realized most here would have zero idea what I am writing about. So instead of doing that, I will resume watching a grade C horror flick on Torrent. "Ouija Craft" It is a great movie if you are having trouble sleeping or just like horrible movies. LoL It is about these high school witches who use a magical ouija board to bring back one of them after she mixes and drinks 2 magical potions that should never be mixed and just explodes. They use the board in a cemetery to resurrect her, but of course the spirit inhabiting the recreated corpse isn't as friendly as the person they used to know. Should we blame their inexperience, the Board, the cemetery or the script writer? I dunno. It was making me sleepy so I came here, but this place is as dead as that movie tonight.

To think in this way; is to understand how the Big Bang could have come from an Infinitely Small Singularity. In fact, all of the Cosmological Evidence (background radiation) would seem to point toward the veracity of this statement.......

Likewise, this would seem to suggest that the Universe is Infinite at Vast Scales; which the human mind cannot process; and indeed fits the Mathematical Definition of Genuine Infinity....(there are various interpretations of this).......

Humans have created a new top predator
that is taking over the Northeast
Humans are not newcomers when it comes to messing around with nature. While we haven't created Frankenstein's monster yet, what we do transforms the natural world.
One recent example is the creation of the coywolf — a hybrid of the coyote and the wolf that is also known as the Eastern coyote. According to a new article from The Economist, their population seems to have reached more than a million.
These animals have a completely new genetic makeup: Their genes are about one-quarter wolf DNA and two-thirds coyote DNA; the rest is from domesticated dogs. A 2013 study suggests this dog DNA is mostly from a few specific breeds, including German Shepherds and Doberman Pincers.
Human activity likely played a role in the species' creation. As humans cut down wolves' forest homes and hunted down their populations, the lack of available partners for wolves led them to search elsewhere for mates, leading them to coyotes and dogs.
Scientists think this intermixing began with wild wolves in southern Ontario about a century or two ago.
The coywolves' success is astounding scientists. According to The Economist:
The animal’s range has encompassed America’s entire north-east, urban areas included, for at least a decade, and is continuing to expand in the south-east following coywolves’ arrival there half a century ago. This is astonishing. Purebred coyotes never managed to establish themselves east of the prairies. Wolves were killed off in eastern forests long ago. But by combining their DNA, the two have given rise to an animal that is able to spread into a vast and otherwise uninhabitable territory.
Here's the coyote, which traditionally maxes out at 75 pounds and has pointier features, and readily populates cities:
And this is what a wolf looks like. Wolves are usually bigger, weighing in at about 100 pounds, and prefer more wild habitats.
While the grey wolf and the coyote are each other's closest living relatives, the two animals separated evolutionarily 1 to 2 million years ago.
Usually hybrids — even between two closely related species — don't survive as well as their parent species, but the coywolves seem to be an exception. They've only really emerged in force during the last few decades, but they seem to have a few advantages over their parent species.
According to The New York Times' Moises Velazquez-Manoff: "[The coywolf] can be as much as 40 percent larger than the Western coyote, with powerful wolf-like jaws; it has also inherited the wolf's more social nature, which allows for pack hunting."
According to The Economist: "With larger jaws, more muscle and faster legs, individual coywolves can take down small deer. A pack of them can even kill a moose."
These animals are even better fitted to our changing world than we thought, and their proliferation has been more "rapid, pervasive, and transformational than once thought," according to The Economist. The genetic combination of the two animals seems especially well suited to the northern habitat. The wolf genes allow the coyote to take down bigger prey, while the coyote genes let them adapt to cities and other populated areas.
The wolves even follow railroads into cities, making themselves scarce during the day — adopting a nocturnal schedule. They even look both ways before crossing the highway.

how we are being dumbed down
I have not even given this a lot of thought and I do not even know if there is a point to this. I think perhaps it is just to stimulate possible postulating. I just started a new book and only on chapter one. It has to do with physics and its link to Eastern Mysticism. The little bit I have read has gotten me thinking a bit. I was fascinated to hear that mathematics is a language of nature, only thing with symbols. Also how our spoken language is only a guide of sorts to efficiently understand one another. It would take way to long to describe every aspect of a tree, or a person. Not to mention, it would be impossible...so we use tree or person to describe that object. This is all we are taught to care about and understand. But what is a person? ...or a tree for that matter. Both are made up of matter and both have this mysterious energy force connected to them.
Okay, this is just about as far as I got with my thinking...lol.
But,
I left the best for last. At least to me it is, there was a saying I read in the book.
"The map is not the territory."
It is like we are taught how to identify and read the map, but we never go seeking for the territory.
...thus, we are being dumbed down.
