Gender Equality

Can I tell you ladies a little secret? You had it all along and did not even know it. Have you noticed how few men will still offer their seats to a lady on a full bus or a train these days? Some people may interpret it as bad manners but that’s not true. They are merely acknowledging your equal status. Beware of those who offer their seats; they are the chauvinists who still think that they are superior to women.professor

If you still feel that you’re being dealt short, maybe we should change genders for a while but please not while you are pregnant or menstruating; that would be unfair.uh oh

So while you are me and I am you, see that you shave every morning… and every night before you come to bed. Your beard scratches me. I’M NOT UPSET!!! Brother, am I going to enjoy yelling at you, and my colleagues, and everybody else without having to apologize? This PMS thing is such a handy thingymabob.grin

Not now; the children will hear us.talk to hand

I see the lawn also needs mowing… and fix that bloody gutter that you have been nagging me about for the last six months. And I’m not crying; I’m pissing through my eyes.crying

NOT NOW; I have headache.talk to hand

No, I’m not done yet; see that you come home straight from work and this Bingo business on Wednesday nights is bullshìt. PUT THAT TOILET SEAT DOWN!!! Are you listening to me? I’m talking to you. You don’t love me anymore; When last did you give me bouquet? I’m going back to my mother. blah

Not now; I’m tired. talk to hand

Then I did not even explore other possibilities like s*xual harassment when I don't like somebody. Boy, I’m going to have a ball. But then it probably won’t last for much longer before you’re going to insist on swapping back because you have discovered that it is not that easy to be a manyay

Not now. I’m … eh… eh… I don’t know what... but not now.talk to hand

So, if you ladies want to be on top, be my guest and get on with it. It’s less work for us at the bottom. Oh shìt, last night while I was you, I forgot to take your pill.devil

Well my dear, do you still want gender equality? Of course you can have it but you will not be very smart to accept it. I would never surrender the upper hand if I had it. doh

Women's rights: are we really free?

Among the very first women's rights are the right to live and the right to freedom and personal safety.
Is it so?

We still face high femicide rates, r*pes, domestic violence, fear; I wonder how free we really are.

Is it freedom to think twice before wearing a dress or a skirt in public because it would be easier to be a target of a r*apist?

Is it freedom to enter a store in a rush or cross the street because you see a man who is following you?

Is it freedom to be afraid of going out alone?

Is it freedom to be afraid of entering a cab alone?

Is it freedom to not be able to change your mind when you turned down s*x at the last minute, especially if your married and must be committed to your "duties"?

Is it freedom to avoid being alone with your boss or teacher because you are afraid of s*xual harassment?

Is it freedom to hear unpleasant comments or to be forced to kiss someone at a nightclub?

Is it freedom to live in permanent fear?

I don't think so. We, women, conquered a lot, but we are still ages away from being free.

A Tribute To The Original Dumb Blond

After seeing Marilyn Monroe in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ as a child, I have always assumed that Monroe, who arrived in Hollywood as a brunette, was the original dumb blond. But a little research revealed that that honor – or dishonor, if you wish – belongs to somebody who lived two centuries earlier.professor

Rosalie Duthe, a famous fair-headed ballet dancer and popular escort to French royals and other elite, was also beautiful and slow-witted. She was not a good conversationalist and was known for long vacant pauses during conversations. I could not help to wonder why she was such a popular escort if not for the interesting conversations. So I dug a little deeper.confused

This extraordinary woman bedded at least two kings and was the mistress of the wealthy English financier George Wyndham, 3rd Earl of Egremont (1751–1837), whom she financially ruined. shock

In an incident around 1788, Louis Philippe II, Duke of Orleans, presented Duthé to his fifteen-year-old son Philippe (later King Louis Philippe I) to ‘learn the facts of life.idea

She was often seen in Philippe's royal carriage on the Champs-Élysées. As only princes normally rode in royal carriages, some young aristocrats started singing a popular tune using lyrics that roughly translated to ‘La Duthé must have suckled royally’ and very soon dumb blond jokes became the latest craze in Paris.laugh

So there you are; you don’t need brains to be famous.rolling on the floor laughing

The Unexpected

This last Sunday at a Unitarian-Universalist Church in Pittsburgh,PA, something weird happened: After worship I went downstairs to the coffee hour for refreshments and fellowship a lady came up to me and asked me if I would like some coffee and I said yes and then we put our hands on each other and kissed on the lips briefly -and what a kiss that was!??

All Saints Day & Day Of The Dead

Today is All Saints day, everything is shut so that people can go to the cemetery to have a chat and remember the dead, plastic flowers are exchanged for newer plastic flowers, marzipan sweets and deep fried dough fritters stuffed with cream and chocolate are scoffed with Aniseed liqueur.

Tomorrow is the Day of the Dead, ( originally an Aztec custom) around the world people take dead relatives from their graves, dress them up and have a party.

I dont have any dead relatives and would feel awkward gate crashing someones cemetary party, If I dig up my cat and dressed it in a tinfoil suit and served some tuna sandwiches would that be seen as something bad?

Jennifer Michael

She's local and I met her online. I was briefly exchanging messages via email and Jennifer stated she 'feels safe talking with me'-whatever that meant. She said in the first message that she's in Brookline,a neighborhood on the South Hills in Pittsburgh, PA(hope this is no lie on her part). I then wrote her back stating I don't want our relationship based on "chat and i-tunes cards" and she replied with a letter that includes a song ALL OF ME by John Legend. Then she stated that she "departed overseas to the UK" to see her mom.
