A burning question
Good evening/morning to you all!
I was wondering about something rather interesting that someone mentioned to me earlier on,and the funny thing is it kept on fueling my curiosity.
In 50 years time from now do you believe the male to female ratio will shift?
We are millions (if not yet billions of people on this planet)
But oddly enough the more you look around you the more one notices that the female population is expanding at an astonishing rate,it is simply mind-boggling when you stop and think about it.
It leaves a simple question without an answer,are men facing the same sticky fate that the dinosaurs faced?Extinction due to women becoming the new predominant species on earth?

More Detail from Lessons in Online Dating
All of the following comes from my experience online...all of a sudden we become incompatible even though I try to make my ideals clear...maybe it's just people's inability to tell me the truth so they use something that was always there as an excuse. There is nothing wrong with finding that you are just not interested in someone and being honest...anyway, just in case:
Quality - I'm looking for quality not quantity. I still have a child under 18, a full-time job, am about to start back to school and am also a primary organizer for a Fest in D. C. this summer. Yes, I do have time but I also have a lot going on. I'm flexible enough to make time for anything I want though. I will not do any of the above well if I don't have fun!
Roadtrips - I love to pick up and cruise on the weekends. That also means that distance within reason is worth it for the right person. Within reason would usually be about 150 miles but I'm also a hopeless romantic and will make the effort if it's further. I can't define attraction based on distance. I've seen too many great examples among my friends of love that started from far, far away...try England to Chicago...together in the US 6 years ago and just celebrated their 5 year anniversary.
Honesty - Everyone asks for honesty but doesn't always hear what they want to hear. I feel that things should be said before they snowball. I say what I'm thinking and feeling. I'm not mean, just honest. I can handle disagreements and can respect the honesty from someone else that I may not want to hear myself. I do believe in little white lies though...if you are wearing your favorite most comfortable shirt that I don't like too much, I may sugarcoat it just a bit...
Religion/Politics - I am not here to be saved and I refuse to define my beliefs with a title. As I stated, I am spiritual. I am not afraid of nor do I believe in hell...or heaven for that matter. Please don't try to save me. I am 46 years old and have decided where I am comfortable. If you're interested, I am more than happy to spar or just discuss. As well, I will not label my political beliefs. I don't see any reason. I decide who to vote for based on my priorities and who I believe will be the most effective.
Rock'n'Roll - My drug, no judgements. I know way too much useless info about bands and artists...even one's I don't really like! To me it's no different than all of the knowledge people have about actors and movies. I don't go to the movies much...I'd rather go see a live band. It's just my thing.
Non-Materialistic - I do not like diamonds, they are boring and way too expensive! Give it to charity! I could care less about cool cars or anything thing that people buy just to show off. I like jewelry but usually make my own or buy my favorite, sterling silver and colorful semi-precious stones.

sick of it all but still hoping, what?
i don't know if i'm just stubborn that i don't give up or and i hate to admit this but maybe stupid - no can't be - doesn't everyone meet the person of their dreams on these things and i'm just looking for someone to hang with that's my age but like me doesn't look or feel it and why am i not putting up a picture you might ask - well i might answer i just wanted to see who would want to just hang out not looking for relationship, etc. so i figured if they read a little about me and thought i had some worth they would get in touch but nooooooo so i'm going to stick it out til the end of the month and them i'm gone - yep it's that stubborn thing again:)

Learning Spanish as secundo langu' help please
I live in USA, work for an international company. People I work with speak Spanish and Latina, eventually I would likle to get a job and move some where in Argentina any help is appreciated.
I feel your pain.
Boy, dont i feel terrible right now.
So, you remember how my friend was going out with the guy i kinda liked, well it seemed their no longer an item, i went to check my facebook and there it was clear as day, and to be honest my heart just sank. Maybe im becoming more sensitive to how people may be feeling
..Or just the fact that the both of them we're my closest friends and i generally do feel sorry for the both of them 
I feel so sorry for him though, he seemed to taken with her and loved her child like it was his own and from what i gather she just ended the relationship over facebook out of the blue without even consulting him, so that just makes me feel really sorry basically. And that just send me on a massive downer..I guess theres not much else i can do but to remain neutral in all of this and try and be a good friend i guess
But, leaving the downer aside because i know how depressing it can be to the readers having to read all that shite about other peoples relationships ending and what not, I seem to have found myself a date. We're meeting on Friday after i finish college, he's 23, well 24 in May but hell, what does age matter thesedays?. Hoping things turn out for the best between us, but if they dont then oh well, no loss..Guess im being optimistic about this whole dating thing thesedays..It looks more attractive than a pessmist petra on the other end i guess (Yeah thats what i call negetive lasses thesedays, or Pessmist pete for blokes haha).
Anyway, i sense im getting boring now so i think ill leave everyone alone :)

~Choices~
Choices
Every choice we make leads us closer to or further from our goals. We constanty need to monitor where we are in that journey. We have to be aware and make our choices consciously.
Look around you....There are great people erywhere, and there are those who just want to drag yu down!
But, the ball is in your court, be careful how you choose!
We can choose to have a positive attitude or a negative one...choose to be positive
Some of us may be undergoing great hardships, but, we are not given a stone to heavy to carry, "CHOOSE" to carry your stone gracefully...
No matter the circumstances, if you look for some good, you will find it, if you look for something to complain about, you will find it. "CHOOSE" to search for good and "CHOOSE" to believe that something good can and will happen. "CHOOSE" to live with hope rather than despair.
We want to do everything, but, how can we become anything if we want to become everything? "CHOOSE" realistic goals that you have time for.
When we face choices and refuse to decide, the refusal is our decison. We decide to drift wherever the tides and current will take us. No one chooses to be unhappy, but we "CHOOSE" what makes us unhappy
We've all done it, faced with a situation that requires a choice...we know the right choice, but we make the wrong choice, even when we have made the same wrong choices many times before, and it has never turned out well
