San Mao wrote not only by her hands and her heart, but also by her whole life. She herself was a magical legend which shows us something that has gone beyond races, nationalities, ages, poverty & wealth, and the stereotyped prejudice & pride.
Today is Tomb-sweeping Day. When I went to supermarket, I saw a middle-school student was reading San Mao’s book. Tomb-sweeping Day, a date to commemorate our beloved writer San Mao.
San Mao was born in a rich and cultured family and immigrated to Taiwan at a young age. She tried to kill herself many times in her childhood. Later she spent many years roaming about the whole world. At last she settled down in the Sahara Desert with her husband He Xi who was a common, not rich, several-years-younger Spanish man and who had been waiting for San Mao for six years. Six years ago, He Xi asked San Mao to wait for six years---after he grew up and retired from the military, he would marry San Mao. But at that time San Mao had already had her fiancé in Tanwai. Six years later, her fiancé died, so San Mao found He Xi again. At last, they spent several happy years in the Sahara Desert until He Xi died from drowning. Years later, in 1991, San Mao killed herself.
Many readers cry when reading the lines between San Mao’s writing, her stories with her Spanish husband in the Sahara Desert. We are moved by their trust, sincerity and true love. It is quite sensitive to talk about races and nationalities when talking about love. This has already become a stereotyped subject coloured by the stereotyped prejudice and pride. When the superior races or nationalities doubt the sincerity and true love from the hearts of the insuperior races or nationalities, how many of them can distinguish black and white, “good” from “bad”, and “true” among so many “false”?
San Mao was six years older than He Xi. Age is really not a problem even though I do mind. Yea, old men find young girls while old women date young boys, the world must be crazy. But He Xi asked San Mao to wait for six years; six years later he would grow up and retire from the military. Six years later, San Mao came back to find He Xi. While we are all eager to wealth, desire to settle down in prosperous cities, San Mao abandoned the city life and settled down in the Sahara Desert. She travelled many places, from Europe to North America, from South Asian to South America. But at last she left London, left Madrid, left Paris, left New York, and settled down in the Sahara Desert.
Her house in the Sahara Desert was just a stone house, very shabby, very simple. Her father had a lot of money, and she didn’t accept her father’s money, instead, she earned money in the Sahara Desert, with her husband. White men are not rich. Yes, their countries are rich, but white men don’t save money, so they are not rich. But San Mao was born in a very rich family, yet she was willing to marry a poor white man…It is not about money, not about races. It is about something that is deep and true. I will not define it. Everybody can define it if they were touched by this deep and true thing before even though it was just once time.

i find it really sad....when i was 2 months in philippines ..so many young girls wanted to date me..and so many adults wanted to introduce me to their young daughters......what is this world coming to?

Old men want to date young girl!
I wonder sometimes, there are old men want to date young girl and very young girl. I got many and many messages from old men, who trying to become my friends but i feel hard to see that. Why they try to choose such of young little like their daughter age, I don't think they have reasons, if i'm at their place, i would prefer the women around my age, honestly coz i think would be good for mutual communication. I cant think about the men older than 35, i prefer man around my age, maybe a little bit older.
Thailand facing with the biggest problems with this issues, there are many Thai young ladies spoil because western influences in Thailand.
they married to old men, and some western old men also getting spoil chasing little young women because of this issues. There are many young women dont mature enough what they should do in life because of less of education, not have enough to survive, not much family restriction.
*****when they meet with western Men who has many experiences, and showing abit money background, they will easy fall to them. Now there are many women looking for rich western men, they dont want to work except looking for western old men.
(Now there are many young girls become victims in this issues, the more problems is family dont against that even if their kids bring the old man around their age.)

Aaah a moment of clarity between mother and child is a wondrous thing....And one to be shared and remembered..
Today I was in the kitchen making a cuppa after a semi ordeal of trimming the cats paw fur with had become rather overgrown.
The cat was suitably annoyed with Jess, but for some weird reason I was spared any animosity. Jess had bought the cat in and I had commented that the cat actually wanted to go back outside and get away from us.
So jess was standing there pondering this last snub from the cat which had boogied on out the window.
Jess said..."Shes such a b*tch" and I said something like "She's cross, leave her be"
So jess said, " But I didnt bring her up that way!"
We both stopped and pondered what she had said, and finally jess said " bet you never thought you'd live the hear that, ay mum?"
She's right. I didnt.
The ability to laugh at the rare ironic moments between me and the 20 year old did not escape either of us.

Men's Complaint
I have read many forums that complain about how women are on here saying they want a good man. One who's honest, trust worthy, loving, romantic ect ect ect. Then when a man contacts one of these women they never get a reply.
Well, the one's who don't reply are looking for someone who makes alot of money and looks good too. Some of those women are fantastic looking and of course they know they deserve someone who looks almost as good as they do. Problem, they have no personality.(I am sorry if I have offended anyone. There are some fantastic looking women who do have a personality, too. Men, grab them if you can)
Now, I have talked to several men on here. They all claim to like my personality, my accent (the ones who have talked to me on the phone) and my pictures online. So, to make sure they all understand when I say I am not a bikini model, I have put up a picture showing a full body shot. Some quit talking right away. Makes me wonder what happened to my personality???? Chatting does not mean we are a thing or that we are going to date. It is just chatting. I never think more. Now, there have been a couple that I agreed to meet in person. We sat up to meet at McDonald's or the Mall (a public place, they don't know if I'm a psycho or I don't know if they are.) so it was a safe place. This was on two separate occasions. Both walked in (they forgot I had seen their picture) and when they saw me they turned around and walked out. Neither one knew I saw them. Because when I chatted with them the next day I asked what happened to them, they both said they got tied up with family. When I told them what shirt they had on when they walked in and what they were driving, they had nothing to say.
And both of their profiles said they were not looking for a woman who was skinny. I'm not faulting them for what they are looking for, I am faulting them for what they write on their profile.
No one seems to be able to be honest. I try my best to answer those who write me. There are a few I haven't yet but, there are red flags all over them. They are not from the USA and they ask for me to make an msn id that only we can chat on. Red Flags.
So, men when you are complaining about those women who don't answer why not try the girl next door. They do clean up well and can look good in a dress or skirt.

PLEASE I NEED SOME ADVICE!
I met a man on another dating site. We met in July of last year. He has set my heart on fire. He has also asked me for money 3 times. And all 3 times I have told him no. He went so far as to even send me flowers on Valentines Day. The problem is that he keeps coming back and telling me how he still loves me. I am really confused because I thought scammers stopped when you didn't give them the money!
