calmheartseeks: No, I read your whole post. You jumped to conclusions again. And just because I didn't mention something, doesn't mean I ignored it.
I was focusing on fulfilled Scripture because that can be a proof - it has meaning. If something is unfulfilled, it can always be said it will be fulfilled in the future.
I have been replying to a lot of posts. If there was something else you wanted me to respond to and I didn't, I apologize. I am tired and have been up all night.
I didn't jump to conclusions at all...I asked a question. Please stop taking my words the wrong way. I haven't jumped to any conclusions, nor judged you, in any way. And I'll also say Peace...I hope you get some sleep soon.
druidess6308: To me, it's easy because I don't believe in the Christian God, per se. I don't see God the way Christianity defines it. And I see Jesus as one of the many Enlightened Ones/Ascended Masters...same as Buddha and Kwan Yin...not as "God", but as a part of God, same as me.
It sounds as if you're trying to reconcile being a Christian, but not believing in the bible...and I don't know if that can be non-contradictory or not. You have to find the right answers to you...what feels right within you. It can take a lifetime of seeking for that. I finally stopped trying to conform to society by being a Christian, and went true to my beliefs at 40. It felt so much more peaceful not to try to put myself in a mold that didn't fit me.
Same here druidess.
Realizing that there was no god coming to make changes in my life and that I was on my own was the turning point for me.
wixomwizard: I don't! As a believer I accept it on faith. The Bible says there were over 500 eye witnesses to Jesus resurrection. 500 witnesses can't be wrong, in my opinion.
I'd like to differ well in excess of 500 hundred have been proven to be wrong

Oh, I never said that I don't believe that through God/Divine Energy you can make changes in your life...like the Taoists, Buddhists, Shintoists, and many others, I believe that if you connect with Divine Energy and step into the flow, that you can also create your own Path. I am the Magi of my life, and yet I am but a mote in the Divine Plan, and have to have faith that all will be as it is meant to be. So yes...God can make changes in your life, if you open yourself to let It.
I just don't see it as the "blind faith" of Christianity, and some Savior-type God. No Heaven, no Hell in the sense of Christian definition. Interestingly, I recently had a conversation with a Methodist Minister with similar beliefs. Not all Christians define their beliefs the same, either...and they don't need to.
I didn't mean to imply that you don't believe in god. I should have chosen my words more carefully. I just don't believe that god is coming to save me in any way. I'm here, I make decisions for myself, and if something in my life needs to change I change it.
