SOME women also shirk their responsibilities when it comes to taking care of their babies/children for many reasons.
Generalizing about Men is really not very fair.

Um... I think it's all in who you pick... I've got two kids(9 & 8)and me and their mother are friends still to this day and I see them when ever I want. Yeah I'd say it's who you pick... Tater: hey alot of mother's have babies that they can't and/or don't want to take care of too... look at the news... moms are killing their own kids alot more then men are....I think they should just shoot a parent that kills their kid myself... BUT NOOOOOOOOOO we are too liberal for that here...

Good4U2: Well guys would not be the proper word to use ... It should be Mark, Scott , Tom or what ever. I dont know about all the world but in this country it appears the women can not take care of the babies they have either. Thats why we have aid for dependent children (AFDC) I had custody of my son back in 1978 and never received on dime from his dear old mother. However when I went to work outside of the US I allowed him to live with his mother because I felt Regardless of my feeling about her it was his mother and I didnt want to be the SOB who prevented him from knowing or seeing her. I even sent money to her for him. To keep it short Then after a few years she takes me to court for back child support yada yada yada... SHe never got that but she was awarded monthly payment of $700 until he turned 18 which was only a year. I paid it and she never had any obligations for all the years he lived with me. Justice is one sided in my view ... The child comes first but the man seems to come last.

Wow Good4u2 you got boned by her and the court system, didn't you bring this up in court that she never paid all those years, sorry you went through that but you can say you did more then your part, when all is said and done the most important person will remember that, your son. your a good man good4u2

Now go and tell that to all those "parents" out there who begin damaging the health of their children from the day they enter this world (and in many cases even BEFORE!). Where shall we start... Mass poisoned trash food and drinks, passive smoking, mercury in their teeth, fluoride, computer games, EMR (esp. cordless!), toxic skin products, antibiotics, religious conditioning and all the rest of the garbage babies are continually exposed to in this world! All said, I think I'd make a very responsible father to any child (although I'd STILL like to have a nanny to take care of the little nightmares!).
morgan5: having a baby is the responsibility of both parents,it's not about the male not getting any attention anymore and frankly it that was the attitude of my partner i would wonder which one was the child.
It is a life changing experience for both, and a baby needs alot of care and attention.

thinking about this and reading some of the posts here and posts regarding nice guys finishing last, can it be this can be just as much as the woman's fault. You have women who only like the "bad" boys they get with them and babies come and they act all surprised Mr. Bad Boy bails. Hey it can be understandable that the Nice Guy doesn't make your boat float. I mean if your going to sail into the eye of the hurricane make sure you have the life preservers.
