tainogirl: What do others think? To announce or not?
Yes, I've noticed announcements like this from members too. To be honest I probably wouldn't make announcements about pursuing something with someone here - espec if I hadn't met the guy in real life yet.
If I met a guy here and we started dating, & intended to continue dating exclusively, I would probably alter my profile to say that I was currently dating & thus not currently looking. That's the extent of the public comment I would make.
Like you, tainogirl, I think premature/early days announcements are very brave. Nothing wrong with them, really, except that you might have to do more public explaining later if things don't work out. I'm a fairly private person myself, so it's just not something I would do.
Keep it to yourself and just enjoy it. You're spot on about a lot of people on CS, they're nasty, vicious a**hole who must not like themselves very much so potshot others. Whatever you find, ENJOY it and smile for as long as you can.
Good question and there are man pros and cons to this, but I can't help thinking that one day, I would really like to at least somehow find out, that tainogirl has found her man..and she is floating somewhere above the clouds!!
I don't see where it is a problem to announce intentions and such. Although I am private person by nature the person I met through CS wanted me to let it be known that we are wish to be exclusive since he is no longer on CS. Even if you were to say, hey I have something new going on should not require any explanations. People can become a couple before meeting for the first time due to distance. Until a meeting can be made, there is always time to get to know someone on a deeper level than a physical one.
I think its cool, I mean if we found someone who stole our hearts and made our day (lives hopefully) then we probably would want to let everyone know and share the joy. However, some people probably are thinking, how long will it last anyway?
so just stick around and the person they are with will probably be back eventually if things don't work out. Or they themselves will be. Hmm, however that works. But I wish them the best.

It's human nature to want to share something genuinely good in your life, with others. Would you not share such news with people in RL ordinarily? Online people, well, mostly,... are real too.JMO.
krisha: no ,i will not announce here to tell in whole world that i found someone as ldr,its happen before that end in nasty situation.just keep private ..
tainogirl: I've not been on CS as much as I would like but when I have been able to get on I've noticed a few announcing their new found happiness at finding a new love. I've always found such people to be brave souls, especially navigating the often choppy waters of public opinion on CS. Its a crap shoot as to what the responses will be. And as I've seen the last few times I've been on, things can get rather nasty. I'm more of a private person so don't think there would be any sharing for me unless its privately with a few near and dear friends, but I understand that other would prefer to let others know publicly (including those who might be viewing them as a potential mate) that they are off the market. What do others think? To announce or not?
I'm too open about my life on her not to announce when I'm seeing someone. But that's me...and it's been both good and bad. I've learned some things through what I've experienced on here, and one of those is not to date anyone from here.

Agreed, Ruben! I would love to be able to congratulate you some day, Taino.

I can't say that I definitely wouldn't date someone from here. Just that the distance isn't always a good thing.

Okay here's a slight rewrite of your script:
Tainogirl finds her man, flings man and saddlebag onto horse and rides out of Dodge(CS) without looking back, leaving a floating cloud of dust and some tumbleweeds behind her.

I don't mind telling that I have found someone again. This time not through CS and not from any other dating site. Another Dutchman. Although I was not looking for a Dutchman I am happy we have the same background, it does make things easier I think. I cooked a lot of Dutch meals that he had not eaten for years. We have stayed at each other's place and are having fun. Singing the old Dutch songs that we miraculously still remember. He plays on a key board or piano.

venere08: hollangirl. I'm thrilled for you!
Have lots of fun together!
Thank you Venere. He spoils me and I love every minute of it. I am not just a taker but believe in giving back. How can it fail when both try to do the best for the other?
