personally i think a more important issue is if we can see ourselves as a united world, as individuals with universal needs, wants and desires. if we spend more time focusing on this, i think the world will be a much better place

festive greetings to all group hug

we only find it hard to have united Ireland because a lot of folk wont speak there minds to make it so, they all speak behind screens but do the Irish really care? has it been a waste of time in the past? are folk really happy with the way things are now? how much does it take until people finally wake up? i work in a job with 300 employed 250 of them are foreign workers, it is like been in a foreign land each day at work, but on the way home i see Irish people on the street looking for work, surly we would give out jobs to our own first?
but no cheap employment and higher taxes make sure we are just figures at this moment, why is that then/

Don't attack foreign workers.... our nation, including me, have made their careers abroad. We can't have it both ways.

I agree..thumbs up

There was a thread on here only the other day, posing to question - would you move abroad to find work, given the horrendous Irish economy..?? The majority, or at least half of the posters said yes, they would..

That would make them foreign workers in that country, n'est pas??dunno

Sometimes, moving abroad to find work is the only solution for some. handshake

And you think a united Ireland would revert the country to be just for the Irish and that we won't need European assistance. You honestly believe that Ireland can exist in the 21st century as a lone nation state.

sukatai: Also i would like to know what exactly your post means then in context to the whole conversation or was it just that i mentioned gardai and you decided to have a rant.....

read the thread the gardai how finnally done us proud and you will see why i got annoyed with how we glorify all the hidden truths about way some things really are here with this government.

Ha ha firstly why dont you stick to the one thread.....im in one conversation here......secondly you still havent answered the question!!!! so i'll say it to you again....seeing as you have brought up HIDDEN TRUTHS about our goverment....Do you honestly believe that there are no hidden links between memebers of Sinn Fein and organised crime in this country??????? Think its a simple yes or no answer

your answer is yes, but they are no worse than the group we have now or like any government, but i know first hand o hearn hidding documents rather than having to umiliate his office, do you think that is right then? so they are all as bad as each other, but im trying to keep things friendly and not on about troubles we have.
just a government that will not eat our dinners in the future is all im sure most would like to see.
