Lads it's christmas day, let's have no fighting.

As for SF, well as someone who was in that party for 6 years, I think I can give a balanced perspective somewhat. SF do genuinely have many good people within their ranks who are good workers and mean well, however their leadership are a different story.

I would caution against having too much faith in them in government in this state, considering they are currently in power in part of the country in an administration where privatisation is par for the course.

They have some great individuals in that party as do the Labour Party, but I fear those individuals will not make any real difference in either organisation. The left, the real left need to come together to work for real change in this country and leave the rest of the political deadwood behind. JMO.

As for the Northern Conflict, well apart from a few fringe groups, it is over, good bad or indifferent and I see little to be gained by fighting it on an internet forum.

Couldn't agree more. I just thought it a bit inappropriate to use a dating site forum to try to promote one political party, that's the only reason I contributed.

It is Christmas Day, good will to everyone, whatever their politics!

True, I don't think this is the appropriate place for party political broadcasts. I admire his passion though.
