My stepfather was an alcoholic and found the least little excuse to keep drinking.
At first it was hard to tell if he'd been drinking or if he was drunk. But as time went on my mother and I were able to see the signs.Sometimes he'd stanger and he'd wear the very same clothes for days at a time and refuse to go to work.He became so bad once that he began having the shakes and had to be admitted to the hospital. After he dried out as I've heard it called he attended AA meetings and then a few days later he stopped going and began drinking again. He also began hiding his whiskey bottles all over inside the garage and house cause my mother would find them as she was cleaning house.
Well he died because his liver was so far gone from all the whiskey he drank. It was kind of like it was alcohol poisioning.

So sorry, it's a difficult loss. Had to be hard for the both of you. When what you say, or try to help has lost it's meaning..

Yes at that time it was hard cause he also became very mean to me and my mother when he drank. When he wasn't drinking he was a very gentle man but the drinking got the best of him.
My stepfather had been married before and had children and the alcohol cost him that family as well.
He would blame other people because he drank and find excuses to drink.
