DodgeBabe: Seems to me, when it comes to expressing opinions and feelings, there are two kinds of people:
1. The Wolves in Wolves Coats; and
2. The Wolves in Cuddly Lambikin Jackets..
Group No. 1 are honest, express their feelings, good AND bad, give their opinions openly and interact out in the open, even if they are brutally honest and maybe offend or insult occasionally.
Group No. 2 hide their true feelings in order not to offend anyone, don a certain type of demeanour to blend in and befriend. They never really insult anyone, never offend with strong opinions and are generally liked by everyone. But are not necessarily what they seem..
Which group do you prefer? Which group would you class yourself in?
Personally, I think Im in Group No. 1. I dont always make friends easily, have people who dislike me I know, but am always straight forward and mean what I say, good or bad! Friends of mine have nothing to fear..
I prefer the company of Group 1 people too. I would rather someone who was honest, and expressed their opinion to my face , even if it didnt match my own. At least I know what Im dealing with then..

There is nothing worse than someone who is nice to your face, agrees with everything you say and then, somewhere down the line, you discover they are tearing you to pieces behind your back.

I have been somewhat hurt by some on here who have purported to be a friend to my face and then not been. I find that hard to deal with, because I am generally an upfront person. I dont have a facade, and Im not afraid of speaking my mind.
I would say diplomacy is always strived for, but sometimes not possible, if you wish to be totally honest.
Real friends will accept the way you are; not the way they wish you to be. Just my opinion.

rohaan: It's kind of difficult at times because many will say in their thread/post that they want honesty but if you are direct, then they get very defensive and scolding. So to be a good neighbor, so to speak, sometimes we'll try to give an answer that is what they might want to hear, but then it's not entirely what we are really thinking. Watered down truth is like skim milk--it may nourish but it tastes kind of flat. know what i mean jelly bean? For instance, a recent thread asked about , no, forget it. I won't go there this time. If a member wants to ask a question, I say it is fair to imply the "no holds barred" rule. If you don't want to know, don't ask. It is completely unfair to ask and then complain.
