I find little respect in killing anybody. why should i drop my standards as a professional soldier. I have never had to hurt anybody with my personal weapon in all the years that i have served overseas in lebanon for 3 trips served over differant periods 1 trip to somalia 1 trip to kosova and 1 trip to eritrea/ethiopia. each trip is 6 month tour. I have at differant times in my career had to operate on checkpoints and disarm hizbullah from attacking compounds and we done a damn good job mostly but not always , silverbirch touched on the subject of hezbullah launching attacks near U.N. compounds this is correct partially. The hezbullah used to try launch rpg attacks from near our compounds but we put a big stop to that but then they used to find old dirt roads to attack the IDF compounds instead this in turn would set the israelis alight and blame it all on us.
every scrape that i have been in i have used my communication skills to get out of trouble without having to hurt anybody. maybe if they werent as trigger happy and maybe a bit more respect for life then there wouldnt be as much bloodshed

I have spent 4 days at a time in bunkers from being hit up by Israeli merkava tank shells spewing all over the A.O. . I remember to pass the time so that we wouldnt think or be afraid of the shells falling all around us we would give odds as to where the next shell would land for $5 dollars a go.
Even at the times that they werent being hit up they used to use our compounds as target practise at there own leisure just to zero there weapons also backed by the SLA ( south lebanese army)
a friend of mine was killed by them in a village by the name of Attiri Cpl Mccarthy of the 70th infantry battalian ( irish batt) he was on patrol and they were gunned down mercilessly by israelis and SLA mercenaries. Our medics went into save him and give him aid and the unarmed medics came under fire how cowardly they were.
that is not the only incident. firing happened from the israeli compounds on a almost daily basis without regard for life nor limb. i have seen the hospital in tibnin bombarded how cowardly is that damn them. who are these Israeli people who claim they dont want to hit unarmed people. or another time in 1996 when they hit up the U.N. compound in Quana and killed all before them. ya there really great people ok . while you say that hizbullah do launch attacks from these places which is correct partially does it give them the right to target there as professionals they definitely should not repeat not in any circumstance do that
Everybody knows that Israelis are one of the best professional outfits along with the brits on this planet. so why do they think they need to resort to doing this. its blind revenge and just unleashing anger and they know that they will get away with it.

Also i take issue with israel for using passports of soverign nations and blindly make fools of the United kingdom , Ireland and several other countries for there assasins in Mossad. they didnt murder in my name as an irishman and im truely insulted. as a result our minister for foreign affairs has had to use diplomatic means to tell the Israeli embassy that to send home certain people from there embassy that they werent wanted here

no there not great at all a right shower. i have no time for the hizbullah hitting up Israel. Dont get me wrong i dont hate Israel but they have unlimited resources and they should make the best of them. IM not a jew hater just in case you think i am. im just fed up of how they do there business and how they can get away with not respecting international law

Don't you think the Israelis think the same about Hamas, a case of fighting fire with fire.

Most level headed people don't condone some of the actions of the IDF, however, when you keep kicking a big bear, at some point it will turn on you and take a massive swipe at keeping you away.
The fact remains that Israel has tried to negotiate peace on several occasions, and every time Hamas has thrown a spanner in the works.
If you really study the situation I think you would agree that 95% of the people on both sides just want to live peacefully, sadly Hamas refuses to do so and will never cease until they have destroyed Israel, which leaves the IDF no option but to continue to defend their people.
