GingerBe: Strange isn't it, that we know all the faults a man has in middle age, yet we love them like we love favourite teddy bears, and beloved treasures. We treat them with care and cater to their needs and make excuses for thier grumpiness and their tired old bodies.
Yet a young thing who is after his money, hoping she will never have to work again, who keeps them towing the line, (him thinking he is impressing her), will be the focus of their attention.
Often as not, it is the most expensive mistake they will ever make, monetary, physically, spiritually, and emotonally.
I have seen men wrecked when reality finally hits. Sad really!
hi , I'm 51 and I would love to have some kids with a younger women ,I'm sure women my age or older ,dont want to have kids as they would have had some by now and they would have left the nest.. but I have never been married and I have had a hard working life and now that I am more relaxed ,it would be nice to find the right women who is ready to have children with me

Desertguy49: Really sorry to hear that your ol man ran off with a younger chick...You'll get over it in time...
No man I have ever been with, ran off with a younger chick.......
My reference earlier was to one who lied about not minding what shae I was. Hadn't the sense to see that what he had was rare. Not me, the situation. But thanks for your concern.
solsticemoon: Frequently we get the cougar polls..ok old hat..but maybe they want to learn a trick or two...Now, guys who want younger girls, Is it a confidence issue, they feel they haven't the confidence to go out with women their own age, because those cougars have a "bad" rep...so lets get it on with younger women that settle for less? What do you reckon?
I dont see older guys or old ladys. I only see experience in both.
JeanMarlow: I think some men in their 40's who have put off having a family may be interested in a young woman so he can have a family. That applies to some men though. The rest, I think they just are not accepting that they are middle aged or near middle age.
Thats the crux of it.Many men wont accept they are middle aged, and theres nothing wrong with being middle aged,i like it!
JeanMarlow: And there are many, many older women who are also in shape. So why write a post that suggests all older women are fat and frumpy?
I do agree there are fit and in shape women and men who are late 40's 50,s 60's. I like younger women i think we have something to offer them more than a young guy

no offence, but why at ur time of life would u want to have kids..ur at an age, u should be a grandparent....is it really fair to be at ur kids graduation looking like his grandad?

my mum and dad had a "late" baby..my kid brother he's 14 now, my dad was 51 when he was born, and my mum 44...it worked out..
51 is not too old for a man to start a family...we're all living longer lives now aswell

There are women who don't accept it either. There are people who don't accept it. It is sad when people can accept reality. It doesn't mean we are falling apart, you don't have to, but it does mean we are not what we were 20 or 30 years ago.
