If you're feeling a little down or flat, try a detox, berry smoothie and some wholeness exercises

Ok a little bit different - no cans of tuna and such. I've just ordered a bottle of magnesium oil. You rub it onto your skin so that you absorb the magnesium, supposedly a mineral that is lacking in many people which can lead to depression.
Anyone know anything about this stuff - ever used it? Does it work or have i wasted my money?

Hi Obsy, I think you can be telling us if it works or not... but I take 2 magnesium pills each day to stop cramping.. and also to compliment the Calcium tabs... otherwise without the Mg the Ca does not absorb.. wave wave

Sounds like it could be good.

And I think we can easily lack getting the vitamins we need as recently I had been really tired and knackered for a few weeks on end and this happened to me about 6 years ago also and when i had tests taken, i was way down on my bs and iron

And since been here in Australia, I havent taken any vitamins so i did go out and buy a high dostage b and iron and am now feeling great again

As unfortunely we dont always eat enough vegs, fruit and meats to get the dostage we need

But like anything people that over takes vitamins etc and just wasting their money as you only require what your body needs, taking heaps more doesnt make it better for your body wine

It has great health benefits, well so I've read. I have tried the powder and the tablets, but they really upset my belly.

I haven't heard of an oil before, where did you get it?

Interesting about Mg and Ca because Vitamin E selenium wont work if taken with Iron supplements... they cancel each other out for horses anyway... if I remember rightly.

Yes, i always thought magnesium was for cramps, not for cranky bums.
I used to get cramps when drinking diet soft drinks.
Just drinking water and banana and berry smoothies has fixed this though.
Just had a delicious smoothie with blue berries and rasberriessmitten

My daughter visited the witchdoctor (much insistance on my part), who probably knows more than than those with Mad Dog (MD) after their name, who "advised" her she was deficient in magnesium and this would probably explain the cramps she was having. Best source was spinach but also increase all other green vegies. A bit of time on magnesium tablets, and lots of green vegies, has done wonders for her. Even with the migraines.

She is also lactose intolereant but loves her milked coffeees. I have tried to get her on to chewing bones for calcium (just like my dog did) but she has drawn her limit to this bit.
