I agree with you that not all people who are clasically good looking are attractive and not all attractive people are solely reliant upon the arrangement of their physical features for their appeal.

Experience has shown me that people can grow in attractiveness as you get to know them. I agree that its important to be mindful of this, but I also think its important to have the confidence that someone who is an appropriate match for us will think like this, so a photo isn't going to ruin our chances of being matched with a healthy mindset.

Sometimes maybe we tune into looks first, sometime personality first, sometimes it may be simulatenous, but looking beyond physical appearance is essential for an emotionally and intellectually intimate relationship, if that is what we seek.

I will however, admit to one prejudice - I think I would find it hard to love with a man in a chicken outfit.

Perhaps this isn't just because they are hidden from view, but because its difficult to feel drawn to a chicken. How would it be different if a man was wearing an all concealing costume of a cuter kind? I once made costumes for a school production of the Wizard of Oz. Nobody could leave either the lad in the lion costume, nor the girl dressed as Toto alone for five minutes, such was their appeal. They had to be the most cuddled and stroked members of the cast.

Although I'm often approached by much younger men both on CS and real life (at least until they find out how old I am), I'd much rather be with someone closer to my age or older - simply because we have far more in common in experience, tastes - and limitations

Unfortunately men here at home want much younger women than themselves - something to do with how insecure SA men are. Seeing the posts of some of the men on this thread I'm beginning to think that I may have to immigrate to get me one of them!

Don't! South African men are still gorgeous creatures.
