jbarbara7164: Why is it that the men on this dating site 50 and up only want girls not women? It's sad ,let them get their girls, so us women can have the real men. Because in 5/10 years they are still alone because their girl found a hunk her age or lol younger, and will leave the 50+year old, drained him dry, so here he wIll be. All alone, ,a lot older, and all dried up. Hope the girl you wanted was worth it. Maybe they cant handle a real woman with wisdom and knows how to treat her man. Good luck to you looking for 18 to 30 .

Women 35 and older are angry and bitter, they spend too much time looking for problems and jump at the chance to say "I won't take **it from any man" sooo younger it is! They are more interested in having some sort of relationship without all that baggage. You are right it is sad ! but I believe that it is a mans job to respect women, but its a women's job to give him something to respect.

chemistrymajor: LOL! 18, that's hilarious, do old guys over 50 really_ think they are going to attract a female that young? We're lucky to attract women 40 and up, and that's pushing it nowadays. Women in their 40's are now being asked out by the younger men, such is life right? Probably better off looking for women over 50.

While that does happen, younger men asking out women in our forties, it doesn't really lead anywhere. I mean, even when the occasional 30 year old wants to build a life together with someone my age, the problem is that, if I care about his future, I have GREAT hesitation about tying his life to someone who will be OLD way before he will. I have NO desire to be a burden to someone I love. Yes, it could happen with someone my own age too, BUT I feel that marrying someone way out of my age range is just asking for it.

I'm 46. I firmly believe that a man of 50 is just about right for me. Many are still fun and fit in addition to being experienced, communicative, reasonable people.

But I also agree with Serena, who said some of the profiles marked approximately "age 50" show pictures of folks who appear to be MUCH older than 50. I do not think these are men who have aged badly; I think these are men who opted to post an inaccurate age for some strategic purpose. No thanks.

Reading some of these posts, there appears to be some that think the likes of myself,at 57 years old, should been taken down to the knackers yard and melted down for glue!
I know it might be extremely hard to believe but some men in there 50s are still fit, healthy, and dont look ancient.
As far as dating a young woman is concerned,no thankyou. As lovely as they may be,i would feel an utter fool, and embarrassed for her.

Open2it, don't give up, there's a great guy for you out there and even if he's in his 30's , if he truly loves you and adores you, you won't be a burden to him. Isn't that what real love is all about when you take those vows? I sometimes feel like people have lost their moral compass and forget the foundation to build a marriage on begins with the owner's manual called The Bible.

I'm not looking for the grandpa in a rocking chair type. Men in their 40's and 50's should still be somewhat active.

Now for a totally different viewpoint....IMO men over 50 are hot as hell. They are mature, not afraid to experiment and have enough life experience to roll with life. You wont find that in a younger man.

IMO this whole "cougar" thing is a fad that a lot of women will look back on and be embarrassed about later. Its certainly nothing Im into. A man that is hung up on younger women is an ageist and why would anyone want that?

Be what you are and be happy....O and viva the silver-haired foxes! teddybear

Here is my story for what it is worth. I am 65 was married 35 years actually 6 days short when my wife passed away with 48 hours notice.

Since then I have been in contact with 3 women via internet and they were all over 50. I had hoped that one would be my partner for life. She came to Australia twice but could not put up with the fact that I live in the outback by choice.

I am currently in contact with a lady but the biggest problem is that there is no phone connection between us. Not sure of the reason but we both live in remote areas.

As far as advertising my age my name tells you I was born in 1948.

I guess living in the outback would be a tall order for most people. I know I couldn't live somewhere so remote and isolated.

Good luck. handshake

Its important that you don't expect someone to be a duck out of water , this bird without the phone sounds like she might be alright unless she's pulling a swifty . Best of luck ,onwards and upwards Win .
