Please can't we all just get along??? If we can't even get along on an internet dating site why would anyone even think we will get along in the world living in peace. Makes me wonder those who cry for peace is it just another ploy for Peace love change starts at home. Amongst yourself. Then if you are lucky to find it you pass it on to your children and they theirs. Yes it is a slow process but twill be the only way it will happen. If this is done then one day just maybe



Since I neither live in Australia or am familiar with the Aborigines I can only answer this with very limited amount of intelligence. I believe they are tribal.I know here the Indians that live on reservations have a political voice. It is usually from elders of the tribes or people that are in high standings. I would like to think the same is for the aborigines. I am sure their voice can always use a sympathetic extra voice to whatever the cause is. You sure have taken an interest in them. Reminds me of the time I took an interest in better educating the prisoners in our jail system so I volunteered to go out and teach reading to young offenders. Age ranged from fourteen to nineteen. All boys. The first day I dressed nicely went into the room with my Mary Poppins self took one look at this sea of faces and realized they did not look like little children....they were big enough and hardened by life enough to look instead like young men. They were not in there for petty crimes. Car jackings, armed robberies, murders. The guard looked at me and said we have power failures here often. If that happens you will go out that door and they will go out the other door. Then she shut the door leaving me alone with the sea of faces. Change happened that day(within me) I looked out amongst the sea of faces and was so scared that I burst our crying. The look I had seen as hardened changed and they spent the next fifteen minutes comforting me and assuring me they would not hurt me and they appreciated I was taking time out of my life to come help them. I spent a few years there till my step dad got sick and I had to help my mum. After work, three evenings a week I took what little supplies I could gather and went there. I heard their stories. I changed more. I learned to look past the outside of a person and into the inside and try to learn where they came from and what contributed to where they were at. The young man with what I thought was knife wounds when I looked at him that first night had been burned by his parents as punishment. And that was what caused all his scaring. He was in there for car jacking. He wanted to change. I think of him to this day. He wanted to change. A better life. I wonder if he found it. I wondered if he thought of me and that not all people are bad and want to hurt and not care. So I, just a mere poor person trying to make my own way in life knows change starts with the smallest of actions. I have a letter I keep here of when one I helped had gotten their GED (equivalent of highschool diploma) in that letter I am praised for being like superman It really wasn't me that did the hard work. But I still love that letter. It came from a woman of sixty years old. Yes I did not stop at just the little boys I moved on spreading my cause.
