Interpretive as such, but so are the many instances where we are all included in the ideal of being sons and daughters of God.(Does Jesus say He is "the only son of God"?) Whether or not we are "adopted" into God's Realm, as many theological scholars explain, makes no difference, as this 'adoption' implies that we are made sons and daughters by inclusion. Lying does not make you wrong because you are a Christian; it makes you wrong because of the lie.
