So far this year over 8,100 people have died in firearms related incidents in the United states, Put it another way, it would take about 19 Boeing 747's to crash to get the same casualty figures. I can't imagine that anyone whether private citizen or government wouldn't want to have measures put into place to stop that happening, Why then not guns?

lol I agree with you about the spelling bit...not sure I'd trust a gun to someone who can't spell. The nonsense about every citizen being armed to the teeth is tediuos and gun laws are necessary,
but yes the 2nd Ammendment is necessary too, and it is the decision of the people of the United States to decide of we want to change the amendment through our own internal legal process. many here want the UN out of the country because they are a bunch of freeloaders. The UN has very limited popularity in the US at this juncture. we will never let them tell us what to do....sorry...tough nutz to those who don't like it

I grew up near one of the largest cities in the country and now live in the capitol city of a major industrial state ...never had a need for a weapon ....no one I know has a need for a weapon...no one I know cares.....

There's nothing wrong with reasonable, stable, law abiding people owning guns, I'm not against that at all, Different matter if You're psychologically challenged.
As for the U.N. After serving as a U.N. peacekeeper I'm 100% convinced that it's a toothless tiger that is corrupt to the core, It needs to be scrapped and something more effective put in it's place that's more representative of the world today.

Felix, I know that the vast majority of Americans are wonderful people, every country has it's fringe dwellers, Some of the smartest ,funniest, and articulate people on here are from the U.S, Sometimes I might have differences of opinion with some but at the end of the day, You're nice people. And My life is richer for having known You all! well maybe not all, but You get My drift.

Serene, if You read my post properly You'd have noticed the words "vast majority" This means "most" not "all" people. There are some in the U.S. that I really do dislike just as there are quite a few in Australia that I dislike, I think from my posts that You would be able to grasp that.
