to be truthful.. and JMO... if she is ridgy didge.. about you, and about your depth of love... then fair enough.. as in..
I wear a ring which is a combination of my grandmothers diamond, my diamond from my engagement ring.. and a diamond my mother bought me for my 50th.. and I will be passing the ring down to my granddaughter.. because she is the only granddaughter I am going to have.. I don't expect her to keep the design, but I trust that she will use the diamonds and remember me.. as I do remember my hubby and my grandmother..

It's a nice idea, I do like it. And I do trust her so far as she gives me too much attention if anything.
But my ideal was always a woman who says she's doesn't care about the ring or the wedding, and then I may or may not give her the fairytale wedding of little girl's dreams, but only after hearing that the marriage is important and the props are not.
