Ccincy: I'm pretty sure this is what DD would say to everyone here. "Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all.”

Nevertheless, I can't quite seem to get the dust out of my eyes.

I've not known DD as long as some on here have and I'm not so happy that DD is gone either.I've been tearing up some myself too.I'm going to miss his wit and even when he was having one of his serious days.
I can only imagine how people that knew him longer than myself are feeling right now but I still feel that he would want us all to honor his passing on by smiles and laughter as this quote says.

Nor I.
I want to share these thoughts.
The question is asked time and time again on here, "Can love be found online"?
I ask now, can true grief be felt so sharply over someone we've never met?
Unequicovably, yes. Every possible human emotion forms on here. Through this medium, we come to know one another through observing, interacting, laughing, crying, worrying, sharing joy, life events.
We become more entwined than we realize and real heart and guts friendships form here. Love happens in different forms on here. Our minds and hearts grow and expand through our coming together on here.
So yes, Love and Grief happen online and if I'm unbalanced for believing that, then unbalanced I shall choose.
I loved DaytonaDude. Not a romantic type of love, but a true friendship love. He asked me if we could share a Skype soon, as we used to, and I promised him we would when the CS Olympics finished. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to communicate with me anymore as of Feb. 21. I wish I would've had that last Skype with him.
