I'm talking about over 4,000 lives lost at last count and many more as yet unknown. A hundred climbers are stranded on mount Everest. They could freeze to death when they run out of food & fuel.
There is a riot going on in Baltimore with businesses being looted and burned by criminals. These creeps are also attacking fire fighters trying to put out the fires. It will take at least 10 years to undo the damage to the infrastructure of Baltimore and longer to heal the image of a major American city.
The prevailing attitude of the people is general,is::: It doesn't effect me. Let the people affected, taking care of themselves.- Cynical from "nearly" all of us,in our modern society

GUZMAN1: We comment the hundred climbers mainly because they are westeners.
The nepalese victims are thousands.
Freezing to death on a mountain with no hope of rescue just may be a less comforting way to die than having a house fall on you, snuffing you out like a cockroach.
You know as well as I do he doesn't get involved for free. One wonders how much his coming is costing MD residents. Noting also we have yet to here the identity of who was printing and distributing the fliers calling for yesterday's riot several days before and where the money to print those fliers came from.
had a few minutes this morning and I already suspected soros was funding the nation of islam in baltimore riots, so I went down a short rabbit trail to one of his funded sites called ferguson response and sure enough baltimore was listed with a chain of protest events, starting april 15, so now that you know what I suspected why would you believe anything lame stream media puts out for public consumption
""Nearly"" is correct to my opinion. If i had written ""All", posters would come out, bushing myself with comments, like, How dare you "included " myself in the word "all".
and on this link from 2011 shows bozo with Malik Shabazz at a selma rally in 2007, where malik took over for NBPP’s deceased chairman, Khallid Abdul Muhammad, a former Nation of Islam leader

hiya T
i don't really look to CS for news updates...
(although i will admit there have been a few times it has been helpful...ie.st louis news)
i have been glued to the news (online and tv) re quake as i have a friend who lives in Bhaktapur with his wife and five kids, hoping that there will be a photo of his street. i emailed immediately, but it will take some time for them to have wifi, or a means to contact me. i spent time Nepal, much of it in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. a peace mandala painted by one of the monks at the Kopan monastery hangs at the entrance to my home. a beautiful computer pad sits on my coffee table (a gift years ago from shree's kids) while i may not have been talking about it on CS, you can be sure i am thinking of the folks in Nepal.
so i wait...
as for Baltimore...what could i say? i, like many, watching the news of Baltimore feel a deep sadness laced with frustration.... but nothing i have to say will help...we already know the violence doesn't solve anything. i think this is something we will see more and more of as the divide between the haves and have-nots continues to increase.
