Anger is a form of suffering, and unlike pain, which is unavoidable in life, suffering is optional.

So, why do you choose to get angry?

I rarely do. Few things bother me enough to get angry. Except injustices.

But maybe, because anger is one of the human emotions, maybe it would be healthier to feel it and release it more often?dunno

Hi Bodleing wave

As I get older, I noticed that I can control my anger better.

I hardly get angry nowadays. In fact, I get embarrassed really fast, sometimes over just a small little thing..help

I agree. Anger is a valid emotion, as are all emotions. (It's how we manage our emotions that matter, not whether they are "good", or "bad".) There is something called "Righteous Anger", which is more about those injustices you mentioned. It is healthy to be or get angry; it is unhealthy to stay angry. Being victimized in any way makes me angry, this is normal and valid.

Just feeling it intensely is enough to release it, emotions don't have to be acted on to release them.

Oh I dunno Bodleing... getting a few moments of anger out is refreshing in a way. It's also effective at communication sometimes.

Anger can manifest itself in many subtle ways...perhaps embarrassment could be one of them...grin

Passion is an emotion that can lead to anger, but it's still optional.
