KNenagh: There were plenty of guys who emailed me and when I read what they put into their profile or their (non-existent) profile text, I often knew that I had nothing in common with them (spelling of a 5 year old, laid back, don't take things serious, looking for intimate encounter, short-term or dating). Why would I answer them as they should have know that I'm not interested if they actually read my profile text?
I stopped replying in most cases as a friendly "no thanks and best of luck to you" caused abusive texts and discussions.
Just because you don't find someone attractive doesn't mean they have to be grateful for every email they're getting and respond - would it have been any different if someone you class as good looking didn't reply?

You may find it hard to believe but in the real world I do ok but it's the age gap that is the problem . My last serious relationship was with a girl younger than me by a few years but the it became a problem because she wanted a family & I didn't.

Of the five I mailed, 4 never responded & 1 said she was sorry but I wasn't her type... Can anyone put light on the reasons why... I was very polite & humorous in my emails?

I qualified as a Model........you remember those adverts for Road Safety and that silly looking thing that ended up with legs bent and head smashed.....Yup that was me...as you can see it never improved my looks and the pay was rubbish.........
