lindsyjones: Why we all somehow want to believe in something, religion as it is, don't we suppose to have unity in the equation? Or is someone's God, can't be all that which represent their belief?

I'm not too religious, I can't say that I am, but do believe in God. What does it take to unite with or without God?

GOD gave us ten commandments to guide us and live by. but man being weak and believing he does not need GOD will do what ever suits him.

lindsyjones: Well then we just have to wait then Tom. Destiny as anticipated? Meantime we live through all these evils lurking in our midst.

Not good.

Maybe I don't know, I cannot believe the intelligence which has brought us this far in our evolution will not complete it,

Da_Moose: Religion is a human construct.....as a species we do NOT seek peace, we seek SURVIVAL! And I will leave it at that.
Well yes. The human species has always flattered itself and failed to see how insignificant we are in the bigger scheme of things.

Kaybee50: We mess up every day, many times a day.\
It's because we are human.
The key is to recognize and see our true flawed selves, make apologies and amends to those we have hurt.
We can't change other people, but we can start with ourselves.

Thanks KB. Indeed the hope of being forgiven and attempt to do better.

I like that.

QUESTION: in the realm of religion, don't we wish it's a matter of realizing Z wrong that can easily be corrected?

Indeed stringman. I honestly believe, if ALL, and I mean the whole HUMANITY, would agree and live by these commandments, how can it not be good? It's ideal and practical. It fosters love, respect for all that is good, no killing, harm done to our fellow man. WHY can't we adhere and stick to it?

As a student of astrophysics,...I have never flatterd myself and am amazed at how SIGNIFICANT religious diatribes wish to appear in the "face" of the grander scheme of themes,....

like i said man thinks he knows all the answers, but man does not. look at the condition the world is in, it is all mans doing, man does not have or know all the answers. we have turn from GOD so his protection is leaving us. did you know that GOD was protecting the US, CANADA, Briton.but they have turned from GOD's ways.now hard times are ahead.

Somehow the strain of not being able to tap and use 100 percent of our given brain Tom

Perhaps our inability to contain or attempt to use all of it is the answer.

We're not really intelligent yet, only few, like Einstein, Newton and very few. When we can tap that perhaps it would be the time? frustrated

Our failure to see and appreciate how insignificant we are. Our endless capabilities of arrogance and cruelty. Our infinite excuse of failing to see humility, all are gross representation of ego like KB said.
