just one more piece of evidence that he has nothing but contempt for the constitution and the traditions of our country and clearly just "doesn't get it." And, no I do not realistically think he could win again. People like me who did not vote because the choices were so lousy....would be out in droves to vote for anyone against him

Keep thinking that.I am sure u speak for the mass of the people, and even the people who voted him in when u abstained.
lonelytiger68: its king obama he aint smart enuff 2 be president. and he aint got the money 2 get ellected
Can see u r absolutely right, lonely tiger 68 who have never been elected has spoken!'not smart enough to be president and ain't got the money 2 get elected? And was elected twice!
funke3: I am sure they know that Obama has enough respect for the US constitution. Don't they just enjoy their fault findings?
Sarcasm at its finest, eh?
Don't put it past Obamma to alter the constitution so he can try for a third term in office. He's already doing what he can to ban our history, why would he want to stop there?
In my humble opinion, this is a flaw in the USA constitution - two terms. Let the populace decide, not the calendar. If the serving President has it right, why get rid of them? A country shouls be able to "survive" 4 years of less than competent governance....but if they are GETTING IT RIGHT. year after year,.....why through it all away at year 9?
Then again....I have no real idea how Obama has done,....I am Canuck (where incompetence can rule for decades! LOL)

yeah I was going to call him and see if he wants to party tonight..
shell1964: yeah I was going to call him and see if he wants to party tonight..
LOL.....you won't get an answer,....he's up here playing beer pong tonight.....uh....in support of all the USA wildland firefighters helping out in Canada! Government is government,....just a new "captain" every so often....do people REALLY think its a single person that rules? (unless we are talking dictatorship....)
I will. however, let him know when he loses the pong game up here....he does have a party in PA to go to....

The Twenty-second Amendment of the United States Constitution sets a term limit for election and overall time of service to the office of President of the United States. Congress passed the amendment on March 21, 1947. It was ratified by the requisite number of the forty-eight states on February 27, 1951.
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.
In response to: President Obama quipped from Africa: If the Constitution allowed, I could definitely win another term as president of the United States. Read more at
In submitting my comments to this blog/post, I will assume that we are all learned, learned enough not to take comments made by anyone, and in this case the President of the USA, Barack Obama, out of context. Clearly the post by Stringman has taken the statement made the Barack Obama out of context!
The statement in question was made on his recent visit to Kenya and Ethiopia while addressing a session of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa. The statement was directed at African leaders, most of whom, are in the habit of wanting to stay in power longer that the Constitution allowed. He clearly mentioned that IF (the operative word here) the Constitution allowed, he could run for a 3rd term but it doesn't and that nobody is above the Constitution/law, not even the President of the country, therefore the Constitution should be respected. Specifically he was referring to the Presidents of Burundi, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Rwanada, Togo and a host of others.
My advice to Stringman and other Obama haters is watch the same video whose link you provided and don't distort the facts as most of you tea-party members and/or Fox News apologists do on here.
