questforlove10: I am creating this thread as a way to interact with other people and share my experience. Ok so i am a black woman age 25 who moved to study first in sweden and then doing my masters now in Finland.i have also traveled a lot around Europe and my experiences are almost the same.
I noticed immediately that i was getting a lot attention from older white men,somethings that never happened in my home country. I am in no way interested in any older man and was quite disgusted at the thought. i mean men as old as 65! older than my father. This happened a lot, in real life and on this site as well.
Men my age do not seem to be interested in me so i am guessing i was not appealing enough which was okay by me because every person has their own preferences.
Anyway my question is why is this the case? Why is it that the older Scandinavian men seem to be the ones interested in girls like me?

Don't worry about them..dirty old men , you will attract attention there, because you look different :).. Most woman there are blond and blue eyes?.. So wow! Darker hair eyes and skin is attractive to them, its like when a platinum blond , really pale woman walks around here in Africa (its unusual) so she attracts attention

It is not only the case of Scandinavian men, it does happen here too.
Older guys looking for younger girls-women (no matter the skin color) and some succeed!

If you are a normal girl who is willing to work or have some education and live in a society like other Finns, then I do not see that there are any problems to meet younger white Finns. There are a lot of foreign people in Finland especially from Africa or Middle East that are just living with money from social security system and doing crimes and Finns are very tired to it. But you seem to be a hardworking person so I am sure that it's not hard for you to find a man at the same age as you are.
Your skin color isn't problem but remember we are little bit shy nation so I am sure that you are an attractive person to many men but as I said we are shy nation. White Finnish females have this same problem that there are no men coming to talk with them.

from a perspective of a darker tanned,southern type caucasian who dated kenyan girl in the balkans where black people are extremely rare - i can tell that the same constant stearing kept being a standard thing but not in a negative way but mainly out of pure curiosity. it was quite exotic and i believe the same thing can be applied in ur case.
lets be honest and bald here: if u are in ur profile pic - u are very attractive so genuine interest shouldnt come as a surprise.
