mollybaby: I remember when I went to Canada, I had been there for a couple of weeks before we drove to Cape Cod.

I kid you not, the noise level rose the moment we crossed the border. I thought I imagined it until one of my travelling companions asked if people were suddenly talking louder

Happygolucky4u: Okey dokey gotcha. How long has noise in trains bothered you? That whispering seems like it can be heard from the other side of the carriage? And from your past post about this lovely two hour trip you take to work why do you not make one of the moods it changes to a kind approach of enjoying the world and the people around you. The married women whom try to pick you up, the loud over weight american women whom seem to intrude upon your very existence by merely breathing the same air as you. Hmmm......yes lots of post by you about the train ride and overweight people. What is this strange fascination you have with other people that you let them rent space in your head? Sit back relax lets chat and find out why you seem more interested in other people and not in you? You do know that if you look outside of yourself from a dark place you will only see dark don't ya? And since this is under the topic of dating experiances are you trying to tell us subliminally you would like to be controlled by a ......well as you said a Hmmmmm
I see,

you know Happy, I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I solved this issue easily back in the day when I had to ride a bus to work.

I got myself a good set of headphones and an MP3 player. Could listen to music or news on the radio. Should solve the problem as he won't be able to hear anything else.

Watch he doesn't miss his stop tho...lol....laugh

If I'm on a packed train , I can guarantee it's that annoying American woman you can hear above all else.. The same applies to coffee shops, restaurants & shopping ..
Why are they so load & why can't they be more reserved like the rest of civilisation?

...Hi All...yes...I think I have to agree with you....not sure what the reason is....possibly the self confidence that is instilled into them as children.....always being taught that America is one of the best countries in the world and they all grow up believing that......they do not feel shy about people hearing their opinions.....also....I think it is a good thing that they come across as excited about the countries they visit.....we should all be thankfull....and, of course, the gorgeous teeth that most Americans have.....they love having their mouths open to show them off..!!. lol..
