yeah they are pretty expensive though i'm getting x2, $200.00 Sony Bonus cashback...just might help

Tis my opinion otherwise disappointment follows as it takes quite good camera and lens to get that sought of bird photos, anything else most likely will leads to disappointment.
ebay some times offers second hand mirrorless cameras, but just buying without giving thought to type lens and the cameras set-up isn't good either.
I do because i enjoy it, its a hobby that I enjoy and I couldn't afford to buy another camera either....but did

You've made a wise decision Rob as it's obvious that photography is a passion of yours. Although I love taking photos, I can't justify the expense. conversing

very nice photo I see that you get around a bit...please keep-emmm coming

Some features of the Sony A7 II camera I got really excited about

Superb autofocus accuracy and speed afforded by the hybrid autofocus system, which uses 117 AF pixels to initiate AF at lightning speed, followed by precise contrast detect fine-tuning.

That means the cameras can use rangefinder-like phase detection to achieve focus much more quickly, up to 40 percent faster than the previous model, according to Sony. “Hunting” isn’t necessary; by examining the AF points, the camera knows instantly which direction to focus, and exactly how much of an adjustment to make. This superior phase detect AF can bring the cameras up to the level of premium dSLR cameras in terms of autofocus. Challenging subjects, such as birds in flight can be captured easily. An additional 25 contrast detection zones are also used as required in Sony’s Fast Hybrid system.

Five-axis image stabilization. Sony introduced 5-axis SteadyShot IS with the 24 MP in the a7 II camera

The a7 II has great low-light performance, which you’d expect from a full-frame camera with large pixels.

The a7 II–series cameras can be used with an astounding number of lenses from many different vendors.

But I'm still having problems getting the camera working to my satisfaction, sorry about tat

I just purchased the Sony a7ii mark 2 which yes is a full frame camera
copied from earlier post:

Also purchased (arrived on Tuesday) Sony FE 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS Lens that has steadyshot built into the lens to.

Been unhappy with it until yesterday i made further changes to the camera's set up and seems better.
Took me three months to sort Olympus camera to function so could capture birds in flight so give more time hehehe

The Sony lets in more light, however I'm having problems comprehending the focal distant's difference between Olympus 300mm and the sony 300mm lenes. Sony full frame doesn't appear to get anywhere near as much distant's...
so yes the recent photos (double clich image, opens new tab) and read file name, any named
trying-sony-a7iicamera-sel70300g-lens-
are taken with Sony Full Frame others Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera, both are Mirrorless cameras
