yes the same ones, we have five of them here, they are doing a really good job keeping the sheep safe from wild dogs, dingo etc of course butter wouldn't melt

they are nice dogs Molly, here they are completely wild, but say g'day listen sometimes, from weening they are bonded to sheep, kept in a pen with half doz lambs for nine weeks, later was really good to watch sheep sleeping beside them, follow then and best of all, stay safe from wild dogs and dingo, i spotted a dingo within five miles of here three weeks ago. So not only are they cute pups they are really great at protecting sheep, or whatever they are bonded to

How did they become wild there?
I looked them up and they are Italian sheepdogs. They wouldn't be common here at all, I don't know even if I've ever seen one in real life.
Oh they run wild, we don't interrelate with much, as they remain 24/7 roaming with the sheep. Only one I can pat, brush out or pull out his molting hair, I can give him a full trim because he likes it. The others duck in and sniff your hand but really let you touch then. They have in the past come and demanded i follow and sick sheep, otherwise often they stay with a sick sheep until either it dies or we get there. They fed from feeders that i put a bag of dog biscuits in, probably catch odd rabbit, duck and probably all the after birth sheep or cows drop. We don't encourage them to hang around us, they must stay with the sheep and not wander onto other properties...
