daears: my brother works from home regularly. He loves the freedom. You'll be sweet. Sounds like your enjoying your new role.
Thanks daears
Yes I've surprised myself with my discipline when working from home, in fact I get loads more done as there's no distractions as there are in the office

serene56: Haha! It's nearly done my head in on a couple of occasions and I've wondered wtf I'm doing there but really, I wouldn't be anywhere else
It's the most rewarding, challenging and satisfying job role I've had in my entire life and there's no turning back now
So now I've settled in ... the company policies and procedures took over for a little while but I've gone back to basics and reminded myself that it's about the people I work with, those I visit in their homes
Stuff the policies and procedures, it's about what enriches their lives

From reading your post, I'd say we're in similar lines of work... A good friend once said to me... "do a job you love, and you'll never do a day's work in your life"... He was right... We should count our blessings when we find the job that fits, and working with others to help them get the best out of life is a reward all by itself.... Policy is sometimes an obstacle to progress, and occasionally I've taken it off my own bat to 'bend with the wind' to serve what I believe to be the greater good for a client, so far, the wheels haven't fallen off....

I just adore the peeps I work with Arthur, they struggle in life (don't we all at times) and I need to stay focused and not let the other stuff get in the way

Fair play to you, I do both... The group work is music orientated and crafts related... It doesn't feel like work half the time, and with the one to one, it just feels like being with a family member... I guess that's when you know the job is the right fit.... And on that note, I've to think about preparing for the day of work ahead... Nice making your acquaintance... Have a grand evening...
