Its very true..the very thing we see in others and do not like, is the very thing that resides in us, and is obviously unresolved....
Im not too sure we can be loved unconditionally by anyone bar our own families, however, but thats only my opinion.
It would be nice to think we could all love unconditionally...but thats a very big ask and takes an awful lot of self work for it to be a reality.

what about unconditional self-love (acceptance)?
for me, and this is just my wee opinion (something i strive for), unconditional love...love without conditions, or 'agape' love is possible.
it's about selfless love, and it requires letting go of anger, practicing forgiveness, and making choices/actions from a place of loving kindness regardless of the circumstances. it's about acceptance of what is.
i'm pretty new to all this...still learning....good news is that i have a great teacher(grin)

we're at the end of a deadend street next to 60 acres of forest, in cottage country, so it's quite private, not quite isolated. we live a block from the lake, at the bottom of a hill...
they have this 'thing' here called 'lake effect'...
which is a nice way of saying it's gonna snow every day for a longggg time...but it's warm and cozy inside, and beautiful to see. and affords me little distraction so i am painting a lot.

i did have a photo up, and a new one, at christmas time for a couple hours...
so how are you keeping?

i see you still have your great sense of humour...

I like to give others a chance before concluding how compatible we are as people. No two people are ever the same in everything. Judging is an integral part of human nature and always will be.
