I'll assume that most of you are "piss poor" & don't own your own property, maybe due to unfortunate circumstances beyond your control, or maybe an ex cleaned you out. But for those who work & own your own property, do you have enough cash left over, after paying bills, to enjoy the luxuries i.e. Holidays, nights out etc etc, or are you scraping the barrel & living on a tight budget?

Why do you care? Or do you want to give me some money?

I don't crave for luxuries, though I can certainly afford them. Gimmee a good single malt and a lovely woman any day, over living the high-life. I'm not in any way scraping the barrel financially.... and I would absolutely hate to be in that position. No doubt imo, that things are getting way, way, tougher for those on low or no work incomes.

In reality, the only people that can claim to be “Rich” are those that never worked. They have never had the headache of paying for a mortgage. They have reared their own children. They have money left over.... Middle income workers are the least prosperous in society. They graft so hard just to get by.... they get nothing for free... They pay through the nose so that others can live...

I'm not sure if whisky & women go hand in hand but if you can afford to accommodate both, you must be in a good financial position!

Yup
The rich get richer during recessions. The middle earners help stop the poor getting poorer by getting poorer themselves.
One2note: Assuming your still alive at retirement age, a little nest egg would come in handy, especially if you're still able & active enough to get about!
Once the major bills are paid off, it is relatively easy to live well enough when retired.
Most retired people have more money than workers, as they don't have the mortgages, etc. They get concessions from the government for travel, fuel, etc., and a regular pension.
And that is how it should be. There is no point in working your entire life, paying high taxes, and getting nothing back afterwards.

I don't know many pensioners who can afford to live in luxury on a state pension, even if they do get concessions from the government! So, unless you have a good private pension, or major savings, you will be living in poverty till your dying days!

You're alright if you have a skilled job so long as the landlords don't get you. A lot of people who aren't very skilled like to believe they're middle class when in reality this spurious bourgeoisie is fed to the poor in troubled times by the globetrotting rich. Now does the spurious bourgeoisie turn its anger on those above or on those below? That's the question.
