If people want to move to civilised societies in the west, then they need to understand a few things 1.The law of the land is the law you follow 2. Respect and follow the values of a civilised society 3. Don’t bring in oppressive sharia courts into a civilised country, that you are supposed to fit into and adapt to living in, because the law of the land is the only law 4. Religious people must not dictate their religious laws onto another country and the law of the land must be the only law to follow 5. If the religion they practice has a radical ideology, that oppresses women, rapes girls, stones women, publically beats women, gender mutilate women, allow child brides, allows a man to marry 4 women, allow a man’s opinion to be twice a woman’s, does not tolerate any other religion and will kill in the name of their religion, then this is not a civilised religion and needs to go
The radical left feminist fail to see how their arguments are so conflicted….They claim to want equality, but what equality do they support? The one that oppresses women, rapes girls, stones women, publically beats women, gender mutilate women, allow child brides, allows a man to marry 4 women, allow a man’s opinion to be twice a woman’s etc….does anyone else see how counterproductive these people are and how they must love the idea of going back to barbaric and oppressive times…

doggydaddy: The old testament of the bible is also a deceleration of war on women. The old testament is extremely misogynistic and hateful.
When jihadists kill the innocent, they are following Mohammad's edicts and life example. He was doing exactly as the terrorists up until his rightful agonizing death at the hands of the jewess he had so heinously wronged. When a professing Christian does the same, he is not following the commandments of Christ or his life example. The terrible things done by characters in the bible are not condoned or encouraged, or intended for us to emulate. The violence in the Koran override any and all peaceful verses because they come later. Islam was pathetically small until it became violent and deadly. They were what Mohammad was "all about" until he died.
Violent commandments in old Testament is limited to that time and place. It was limited to those specific instances and not open ended for all times. One the other hand, the violence in Quran is open ended and applicable for all times and places.
The Old Testament is a history of origins. That´s why it is very questionable to follow it as a living guide without the message of Jesus, who renewed everything. Nothing in the Old Testament is a guide for Christians except the Ten Commandments . The Bible "violence" was actually the self-defence type, especially against genocide like some countries today wish on Israel. There is no doctrine in the Bible to kill others of different faiths because we are all sinners needed salvation which is a personal choice of taking God's offer of Jesus and his way.
Just contrast the living conditions of the Muslim world to that of the Jewish and Christian community and the evidence speaks for itself. The New Testament does NOT tell or order Christians to kill Non-Christians!
In political Islam hadith is important, remember that Sharia laws are made out of Hadiths. Hadiths are written to this day and the 'scolars' who write them are in the pay roll of oppressive regimes such as Saudi Arabia.
Lee, You make some valid claims and I particularly like:
LeeCharming: The radical left feminist fail to see how their arguments are so conflicted….They claim to want equality, but what equality do they support?
I have written about this before in different threads.
We are dealing with "morality" and "division". When dealing with morality, we must remember that it is changing (assimilating) someone into what others consider "normal". This person is a completely free agent and willingly subjects themselves to the laws. Under the Western set of Morality, we have determined that this is the way reality must be.
The confusion exists for the feminists who classify using a positive division - inclusion is permitted even if there are negative traits. (ex. The plant is called a tree because it has a main stem, branches and leaves. It may be short, but it is still a tree.) They connect a moral to a logical decision. "I am good if I accept all people."
But, the new arrivees that you have spoken of operate under a dichotomy - black and white - you either are or you aren't. Therefore, their set of morality is completely different. As we have seen, the sanctity of life is not adhered to in their set of morality. If it did, the allowances you mentioned above would not exist in practice and would be disgraceful and dishonoring.
Feminists fail to see that they are playing with people who are using a different set of rules. The opposition says, "You are either with us or against us. And if you are against us, I have a right to do __X__ to you."
Both groups have a right to choose their method of division. The playing grounds are just cleaner if both sides play by the same rules.

galrads: I haven’t seen Islam forced on anyone here in the West? Catholicism was forced on me though as I grew up through high school. Jingle your beads, go to confession, contribute, go to mass every Sunday, mackerel snappers on Friday’s, feed the rich, devotions, fasting blah blah blah
Because it's against the actual religion to force people into it.
I see people trying to force people into hating Muslims as equally as bad as people forced into be a Catholic or Christian.
It's not that we can all make our own informed choices as adults is it?

It was a pre-marital conditional thing being forced into Catholicism.... My parents forced me and my siblings into Catholicism because they swore to the church that they would bring us up in the chatholic Faith if they could be married in the Catholic Church. This was not uncommon.....

Oh I understand it Gal. One of my Grandmother's was a devout Christian. Luckily for me the other was not.
Please don't get me wrong, she was a good woman. She did a lot for her Church and community. I wouldn't knock that. But I don't think forcing people to believe in something actually helps.

I don't know about force of your parents... Christianity is part of our heratage & Europian traditional values that our civilisation is built on. No one can force me to go in church, & No one will threaten my life for not following my religion but if we are broth up with Islam & not following Muhammed teaching, our life would be in a great danger if we reject it. Big difference. I don't have to be a religious person to respect my Christian traditional values. In fact I am not religious. To pick between religion & democracy, I always go for democratic society but democracy & Islam is not compatible in any way, and we're heading to dictatorship of sharia law. Do you think that Islam supports science ? I presented video of PHD man of science that speaks about Islam, not a religious priest but indoctrinated regressive lefties would call him hater because he exposes the facts.
I need to believe there is something greater than the human beings and their self centrism , otherwise I'll fall for the crap many atheists love, feeling way too important...

In forma Yugoslavia lot's of Catholic priests were prosecuted for ideological "incorectness" & if there was only whispering about some priest molesting children, thay would love to take him as an example in the public prosecution, because religion is the enemy of communism ideology ! Religion saved peoples connection to their national identity & it was a thorn to communist dictators who preferred non existence of any religion, yet Marx, Engles & Tito as god was an ideological doctrine forced as Religious beliefs. People who were seen attending church masses had a hard time to get the job because of political incorectness, regardless of their qualification & work capability.
Does western society heading now the same way ? It seems so ... NWO = Globalism = Satanism = moral relativism = nihilism
Demonizing Christianity & at the same time giving Islam special privladges doesn't make any sense !

I have neve had a problem with religion and science sailing side me side.
They are bot addressing the same questions from a different point of view neither being more true than the other, eventually these two hypotheses will meet at the end of the road, like two parallel lines they appear separate paths , we know parallel lines '

saidmahmoud: Shut up lier Read this The texts of Islam took a strong stance against this. It says in a hadeeth qudsi: “Allaah, may He be exalted, said: ‘There are three whose opponent I will be on the Day of Resurrection, and whomever I oppose, I will defeat … A man who sold a free man and consumed his price.’” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2227).
Said, you're wasting your time. Because she has made her decision. I would of liked you to have been able to share your translation of the faith. But, that ship has sailed sadly.
Most of us are aware that no religion is perfect. Which is why I personally make the choice of none and prefer to believe in humanity. Which can be equally testing. Each to their own. But there is bad in all religions and that is the true test of your own faith in my opinion.

Rachie Any religion could be a message of peace, love and mercy about the perfection in religion You should remember that the life and nature is not perfect the world is not perfect the human being is not perfect But what could fulfill the perfection in the whole things I mentioned above is God and understanding God's will . for some people religion is not compatible with some needs and requirements. And for some people it's okay to take part of the religion and refusing the rest of the religion or adding some things into the religion And some people taking the religion as it is And here we find the relativity in generations understanding

I agree with some of the things you have said. Which is why I make the choice what is right for me. As I expect others to do. Faith is personal to each person. But I will not condem or treat people badly because of others actions.
